I've stuck with these because they are the most comfortable and durable pads. They allow you to move around freely and don't damage the roofing material too much. Well made and really comfortable. The straps take a while to break in. The pads stay put and don’t move around when you walk. Update: After about a couple months of everyday use the rivet for one of the straps bent and the loop came off. Was an easy fix just replaced with a bolt and a square nut. Stiff as hell when you first get them. But it’s to be expected from leather. This is my second pair and they def stand up to a lot of things. They just last when compared to their knee pads. Best knee pads when around anything hot or just welding in the summer time. For the price and the durability you can’t beat them. Ya they aren’t the most comfortable but anything rubber is going to get burnt smooth up. Can’t go wrong with these ... show more

These are the most comfortable and effective knee pads out there in my honest opinion. I like the way that they are attached by a single strap at the calf without the need for a second strap above the knee. They don't bind, pinch or cut off your circulation. They are not slippery and won't mark up hard floors and are tough enough to stand up to dirt and rough terrain outside. I've tried gel, foam, rubber and just about every other version out there. I wear these everyday, no matter what the job (I'm a self employed carpenter) and can honestly say they have saved my knees. I even put them on when its time to give the dog a bath in the tub. Couldn't be more pleased with these. A classic that should last the rest of my adult life. I suggest a good oiling & break in along with adding grommets or eyelets in the strap holes you intend to use as it makes a world of difference with good products like these.
