I like them fine except the metal flange at the end of the wood isn't secured. They slide down the rod. I have to glue them on.

This is, for the most part, a solid, attractive set of gardening tools. The shovels won't be bending off the handles -- it's sturdy and well-made. The handles are smooth and fit comfortably in the hand. The small nitpick is the flanges between the wood and metal, which are poorly seated and therefore clangy. Which makes the set a poor choice as a gift for the intrepid gardener, unless you're willing to find a permanent fix for that part, first.

This is a very nice set of hand tools. I like that they are made of stainless steel and have wooden handles. The stainless steel on the trowels seems to be thicker than the steel on other trowels I have. The blades are firmly attached. This garden tool set is nicely packaged, and would make a nice gift. I would have given the set a five star rating but the little metal rings (where the tool connects to the wood handle) are loose. You can see this in the attached photos. I like these garden tools and I will fix the loose rings with glue.

I like just how well-made these tools are. Excellent heavy gauge steel, well anchored into solid wood handles. The handles themselves are nicely shaped to help provide leverage. The tools should last years out in the garden or doing lawn work.

I’ve been chomping at the bit to get out into the garden this year with the many new helping products I have, including this set. The handles are hefty solid wood, and the stainless steel used for the body of the product make this set solid, reliable, and durable. I can’t imagine what you would have to do to bend any of these tools the way some have reported. Each piece is made for a lifetime of use. With the thick clay of our soil in areas, the heft and solid construction of these tools is necessary to prevent injury to your hands or wrists and to ensure your tools don’t get damaged. A quick pass of a rag when you’re done for the day will help ensure the maximum life span of your tools. It’s worth the extra minute.
