I wanted tall black boots that fit my narrow calves for fall and winter. These fit the bill. I wear 7.5 and ordered 7.5 and they fit snugly thought not tight. The insole isn’t impressively comfortable which is a little disappointing because they aren’t the cheapest boots on Amazon. I have high arches and there isn’t really any arch support. But I plan to use inserts to cushion them and add support. I have narrow calves, but these are definitely fitted in the shaft. If you have wide calves, they may not work, though the elastic panel might provide enough give. ... show more

Gorgeous boots, but I can't zip them up. I bought a size 10 wide, thinking that with my larger shoe size, the shaft would also be larger, but it's not. The elastic gusset in the leather only extends about 6 inches or so down the shaft from the top, and was pretty much useless to me, unfortunately. I've been on the hunt for a classic black boot for a long time and I'm glad I was patient. The leather is thick, no falling down or slouching around the ankles. The stitching is heavy duty and I really appreciate the solid non-slip sole. In regards to the fit, these fit a normal size foot. Seriously, they don't advertise for wide anything and they are not for a wide calf, wide ankle or wide foot. They fit a normal foot with a little room. They are gorgeous. ... show more

The boots themselves are so beautiful and made with nice material. My calf is 14.5' . The zipper stopped in the middle of my calf. Hahaha. I am returing them. How sad!

    • Beautiful boots, and fit a wide foot without wide calves
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black Leather
I love these boots, as far as beauty and comfort. The leather is supple, soft, and a bit on the "brushed" side. The style is pretty as well. It's very very hard to find a wide width boot (in the foot area), without also having a wide calf. I have rather slim calves, and do best with a 14" circumference boot, worn with skinny jeans or leggings. I actually ordered these a full size up to ensure my arthritic toes wouldn't be pinched. (Maybe I need to do that with ALL my shoes now -- haha). The only downside is that they do make my foot look even longer than it actually is. And, they leather being a bit "brushed", although beautiful, looked as though it would scratch more easily than smooth leather. Still I would have kept them had I not found another pair that was just as comfortable and fit just as well. This is after ordering and returning many many many boots in an attempt to fit my temperamental toes. I would still recommend these boots. I saw other reviews that said they fit narrow. I did not find that to be the case, even though I have a terrible time finding shoes that fit my wider foot. I did order them in a wide width (and a size up). I think 1/2 size up would've been perfect, but that was not available. ... show more
