My 7 year old flies this Spitfire like it was real. It's very responsive and looks real when it's flying. Yes, it's expensive for a foam plane but I believe the major cost of manufacturing was in the remote. It give you three levels of control. As you learn, you can switch from beginner level to intermediate and really enjoy it's performance. The expert level leaves all of the flight up to you, there's no more help from the remote. Tip...get extra three blade props and more batteries are nice so you don't have to wait to fly while it's battery is recharging. ... show more

    • Such an awesome beginner plane
I was really nervous when my son asked for an RC airplane for Christmas but this thing has been great. Any time you let off the sticks the gyroscope takes over and levels the plane out, so you honestly have to really try to crash it. Then, if you do crash it, it has this breakaway propeller that pops off and on so it doesn't break when it crashes. My only complaint is that after a dozen or so crashes the motor started to get pushed into the plane, but I was able to add a little hot glue in the fuselage and it was fixed. I think that's a pretty small complaint though since any other plane I've ever had would be totally destroyed by that point. Overall awesome product. ... show more

I got this rc plane for my birthday! I really enjoy this Spitfire, it takes off and lands like a real plane.The package comes with two types of propellers that are easy to change. For my first flight I chose to do it on open grassland and I advise other new pilots to do the same. The remote control features are really cool too. It took me some time learning how to control it, but once you get used to it you will be having a lot of fun! Awesome rc plane!!! ... show more
