Very compact and easy to set up. The remote button pad is a bit odd with 1 and 2 opposite each other and 3 and 4 again opposite each other. I'd expect all in a line or clockwise in a circle. Not a biggie 1 3 4 2 Sometimes it looses it brain and won't talk to any computer. A power cycle fixes that but it is annoying. It doesn't happen very often though so again, not a biggie. CHECK ALL YOUR CABLES straight away to make sure they work. I only needed it initially for two computers and later wanted to add a third and found that one of the two remaining cables would not talk to the computers. They are proprietary cables so you can't just buy another and there is no contact info for the seller so no way to buy another from them. ... show more

I needed a 2 monitor kvm for my work setup which has two desktops and a laptop, so I bought the CKLau 4k@60hz 4 port 2 monitor switch. I have it set up with a logitech wireless mouse and a wired keyboard, and was pleasantly surprised by the robustness of the unit and of all the hdmi and usb cables that are included. The kvm worked great for 3 months and then the "Out B" monitor port stopped working, effectively turning it into a 1 monitor kvm. Huge bummer, and I was out of the return period, but I messaged the seller who walked me through debug reset to try. The Reset didn't fix the problem, so the seller shipped me a replacement unit for free and it worked great on set up. So, hopefully my first was just a dud and this new one will last longer, but I was impressed with the quick and clear communication from the seller and how they handled the problem. Update: I jumped the gun on badmouthing them. I thought the unit died but there's a reset feature that instantly brought it back to life. The best part was the quick response from CKLAU telling me exactly what to do. If anyone thinks their unit is dead do the following. Connect just a keyboard and power. Turn unit on and on the keyboard hit the following keys consecutively. Right control key 2 times, Escape key 3 times, Enter once. The whole sequence of keys should be pressed in 2-3 seconds. You'll hear a beep indicating it was reset. Not connect your device and see if your unit is really dead. ... show more

This thing was cheap and it worked!!! after a bit of fiddling. Pros Cheap it is running my 2 computers now, on 2 monitors with minimal issues keyboard and mouse switch GREAT. Monitors switch pretty good, with the below exception. Cons My laptop has to be Logged onto and projecting the signal when I switch over to it, or the screens will just be noise. Switching away from and back to the laptop after it is ready for work fixes the noise on the screen. I had to plug and unplug the wires several times when I first hooked everything up, but it is stable now, aside from the above note. I have not gotten my desktop speakers to share yet, and am just using my laptop speakers when on that computer. Good budget buy if you are willing to mess with it a bit, or sacrifice ... show more

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the new unit they sent me has also failed now. The USB functionality in this and my original unit both failed completely. My advice: if, like me, KVM functionality is important to you, spend a little more money and get a more reliable unit. I replaced my latest one with an iogear MiniView; a lot more expensive but it has so far worked flawlessly. I can use the three dead CKLOUs I have here to prop it up if I need! ;) ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had an issue with a my kvm and CKLAU support was great! They worked with me even well after the return period passed and, when we couldn't resolve the issue, they quickly shipped me another unit which worked great! Super helpful! ... show more

UPDATED (Original title: Nicest KVM switch) While I have been very happy with this switch overall, I am no longer enamored with it. After only a few months, the second port has failed. It either cannot find the monitor, or the keyboard/mouse, or neither. Same laptop and cables across the board work fine on the other ports. I think that the issue here may be that there is nothing that really holds the cables in place solidly, so if they get moved around as you plug in different things, the internal pins may be getting bent or loose. I would suggest that a design recessing the actual HDMI ports into the KVM and having an outer socket size of the plastic molding of the cable would support the connection better and avoid this kind of problem. This device is not unique in suffering from this--all HDMI and USB are fundamentally flawed in that the cable should be female and the socket should be male (therefore allowing you to replace a cable instead of the electronic device itself), but I am still going to have to knock off a few stars for it to have become a problem so quickly. ---------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW ---------------------- I bought this KVM switch to replace an older VGA switch. It has everything I could ask for: 1. Switching is easy. It comes with a keyboard combo using the right Control key. My old one used the Scroll Lock key and this new switch let me reprogram it so I did not have to get used to the new key combo. 2. As compared to the previous switch, flipping between laptops and desktops with different capabilities does not confuse it and make my monitor freak out. 3. The USB hub on the front is brilliant--I attached a six port USB hub to that, then my printer, a few thumb drives, and a hard drive to that. I found that I had to reboot each independent machine one time with it as the current machine, but after that every machine picks up all the attached peripherals. Brilliant--no more mailing myself things from my work account (on VPN) to my home account so that I can print something out; no more getting off VPN to copy a large file--just put it on a thumb drive on one, switch to the other, and it is available. 4. It works happily with a wireless mouse/keyboard. There are USB slots to attach a keyboard and a mouse separately, but I found that putting the wireless USB receiver in the keyboard slot allowed everything to work happily. 5. The customer support is superlative. One of the cables snapped off in the socket after I had everything hooked up (including zip ties for organization, etc.). No way I wanted to take everything apart and return it. An email to their tech support resulted in a free replacement within a week--and to go above and beyond, they sent me a spare cable. While I love this switch, I will provide one caveat given feedback in other reviews: I am using only Windows machines. I have no idea how well this would work with other devices. ... show more
