  • Beautiful, well-made, classic woman's design from Citizen
Color: Silver-Tone Bracelet & Blue Dial
I've been trying to find a match for a watch my wife had years ago that roughly looked like this one. The Citizen is not only MUCH nicer than what she had (pretty sure it was a Timex), but it's really beautiful in person. I think the price is fair for the level of quality that's evident in this piece. I've had several Citizens over the last 20+ years and this is one brand that seems to have kept up their expectation of quality. It's a more delicate looking watch in person than the pictures convey. My wife has very small wrists and most watches either look and feel bulky for her or they're so dainty that they're almost impossible to read. The face is small on this one but it reads clearly. The jeweled blue can pick up reflections, but a quick turn of the wrist gets around that. All in all, if this is your style and you're looking for something functional but with a delicate appearance, you can't go wrong with this Citizen. ... show more

  • Wonderful Watch so Far!
Color: Silver/Gold Tone Bracelet & Blue Dial
I'm a little afraid to write a review for this watch as the Seiko self winding watch I bought about a year ago stopped working shortly after I wrote a glowing review. As others have said, this IS a beautiful watch. I love the dark blue dial and the gold frame around the dial. The hands and "numbers" on the face of the watch are also gold. And, I like that I don't have to replace the battery. The battery watches I have had always seemed to conk out at the worst times. I agree with the reviewer who wrote that it would have been much more convenient if the instructions had been included IN the box. My box had a card in it that said the instructions were includedl They weren't. Yes, it's nearly impossible to read the numbers needed on the back of the watch so that you can get online and get the directions. I have had the watch nine days and I still haven't done it. Luckily, the watch was working when I took it out of the box. I haven't put it under any lights or done any of the things I have read that you are supposed to do in the reviews. I do try to make sure it's uncovered while on my arm. I wear it at night too. I take it off only to shower and cover it with something so it doesn't get steamed. I had a beautiful watch that was ruined when I left it uncovered in a small bathroom while I took a shower. I have a larger than average wrist--I usually have to get bracelets of 7-1/2 inches rather than seven inches. However, this watch has a slightly loose fit on my wrist--exactly the way I like it. I want a watch that slides around on my arm a little like a bracelet does. If you have an average or small wrist--or like the watch to stay in one place you will need to get links removed by a jeweler or watch repairer. My dad who recently died at 94-1/2 years loved watches. He had many very nice watches, but he prized his Citizens Eco-Drive watches. Maybe because he got such a good deal on them--he loved a bargain. But I heard the story of how he bought those watches many times and how wonderful they are. That's what got me looking at the Citizen Eco-Drive watch. For now, I am very pleased. If I have any problems I promise I will be back to change my review. I changed my review when the Seiko watch was giving me fits and I will change it for this watch review if necessary. Oh, and I also agree that the date feature is almost useless unless you are eagle-eyed. I didn't buy the watch for that feature, but someone who does want to know the date might not be happy. ... show more

  • Love it so much that I bought it twice
Color: Silver-Tone Bracelet & Blue Dial
I bought this watch a couple of years ago and then, sadly, I recently lost it. After looking everywhere for it, I decided to replace it with another Citizen Eco-Drive watch. I initially bought a different style with the same technology, but it didn't look as nice as the other one. (I really didn't want to buy the same watch, because I was sure that as soon as I bought the replacement, I would find the first one and would have two identical watches. However, I have not yet found it.) I returned it and bought the same one I had before. I have gone back to wearing it daily. The blue face is beautiful, the metal has a lovely tone, and it keeps perfect time. I have never loved a watch more. I was worried when I initially bought it that it would need to be under a light all the time in order to keep the battery properly charged. I have no idea how it manages, but I have never made any effort to put it under light. And I live in Seattle, often wear long sleeves, and keep it in a dark closet when I'm not using it. The Citizen web site states that it can hold a charge for months at a time. While the watch is more expensive than many others of this variety, it is completely worth it to not have to change a battery, ever. And it looks nicer than other similar watches I have had in the past (Guess, Fossil). Do know that you'll likely need to take it to a jewelry/watch repair to have links removed so it will fit your wrist. I watched a number of YouTube videos on how to remove links and had all of the right tools, but could not do so confidently. I think I paid $15 to get the links taken out. A small price for the peace of mind that I would not destroy my beautiful, new watch. Edit: Of course, I found the original watch a few months later - in a pocket of something I rarely wear. I gave the other one to my best friend and she now wears it every day and loves it as well. ... show more

  • Fits my wrist which less expensive watches do not.
Color: Silver/Gold Tone Bracelet & Blue Dial
Looks good on. Wrist band is very comfortable for a larger wrist. Clasp easy to open. Keeps excellent time and battery recharges with light and lasts a number of years.

  • Beautiful, two-tone, eco watch
Color: Silver/Gold Tone Bracelet & Blue Dial
I had been looking at this watch for the past 5 or 6 years. It is a beautiful two-tone, sturdy, watch. The face is dark blue and the watch hands have glow-in-the-dark inserts. I really like that it can be worn with business casual or dress attire. I bought this watch USED-VERY GOOD and it looks like new. The watch crystal and entire band were covered in a plastic film to protect from unintended scratches. The only difference between with this purchase and buying it NEW was that it did not come with the Citizen Warranty card or the watch manual. However, I was able to download the Manual online and I was also able to request a Warranty card through the manufacturer. I had 2 links removed from the band so the watch would better fit my wrist. I viewed a few different videos on how to do this but ultimately took it to a jeweler to have it done professionally. I did not want to risk scratching the band. (It only cost $5.00.) This is definitely one of my BEST Amazon purchases this year! ... show more
