Seems to be helping with circadian rhythm
Color: Gray
I bought this to help me set my circadian rhythm and help me get to sleep at night and it seems to be working. It feels like maybe it's too early to tell but after several days of use I have been getting to sleep right away every night. I don't feel as tired as I thought I would but that doesn't seem to matter because I fall asleep quickly every time. I turn it on immediately when I wake up and then take it with me into my office and keep it on for seven hours in the morning. And I have all phones and screens set to a warm mode to avoid any blue light affecting my sleep. So far so good! ... show more

This really works. It has changed my life.
Color: White
I have struggled with insomnia for years. Even if I take sleep meds I’m still up all night and getting 4-5 hours of sleep tops. I live in Florida so never heard about a SAD light but my functional wellness coach told me about this. She gave me a few simple things to do that helped my insomnia. 1. Stay off devices an hour before bed. 2. Get my circadian rhythm in order by doing two things. First go outside when I wake up every morning for 15-20 minutes with no devices and sit in the daylight. Then after breakfast use my SAD light at my desk for about 30 minutes. Since doing this routine I’m sleeping 7-8 hours a night. Stopping devices in bed is huge but I believe this SAD light is also having a big Impact. I would feel tired a lot during the day but when I use my SAD I feel more awake and less sluggish during the work day. I also never felt so ZEN in my life. I’m overall in a better mood. I don’t get frustrated as easily during the work day, and I feel like I shrug things off much easier than before. Now I see why they call these things Happy Lights. I researched a lot of data and reports from experts who tested many lamps and I settled on this one based on the positive data, the size and the sleek appearance for my desk. I can only speak for my experience but I’ve been extremely happy. Best money I ever spent! ... show more

Problem with Product. Update: good product support
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. Do not buy! This product stopped turning on after just a few uses. I used maybe 10 times during dark periods in January and February. Turned it on this morning and the light did not come on. The pwer light did but not the therapy light. Unfortunately I found this product is outside the return window and Ive been cheated out of $90. The manufacturer has no help for me on this issue after just less than 60 days. Again, do not buy. 3/19/25. Update: Changing the review as the Manufacturer of this product contacted me and made this right. That means a lot when buying a product. It worked great and I was feeling energetic after the first or second time using it in the morning. It could have been a fluke that it stopped working so I will give it another try. Its worth the try. ... show more

An outstanding product. Easy to use and reliable.
Color: Gray
I purchased this Circadian Optics light after buying (and then returning!) two lights by another leading manufacturer. Both of those lights had faulty power buttons right out of the box, so I had to send them back immediately without ever getting a chance to use them. Needless to say, I lost all faith in that brand and I decided to give Circadian Optics a try. I'm so glad I did, because this light is perfect for my needs. Right out of the box, it's easy to work with. I like the simple one-button design. No finger pressure is required, just a feather-light touch. Touch it once to turn the light on at its brightest setting. Touch it another two times to experience the two less-bright settings. Touch it a fourth time to turn it off completely. The unit is short and squat, so it is unlikely to get knocked over by your own hand or by your cat or dog. This is a huge selling point for me, because whenever my cat jumps up on my desk, she loves to rub her cheeks on any object that is roughly the height of her head, such as the corner of my laptop screen when I'm trying to type. If this were a taller light, she would probably push her head against it and knock it over. This model has no color-adjusting settings or automatic timer, but I really don't think such settings are necessary. This is a neutral, pure white light that I think it very pleasing. The purpose is to help wake you up and keep you alert, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you really want to set a timer to help you get the proper dosage of light, use your cell phone, your computer, your kitchen timer, or whatever else you have on hand. This light has only one drawback I can think of, but it's extremely minor. The base of the lamp is very smooth, so the unit tends to slide or skid when you brush against it with your hand. I remedied this problem right away by attaching three small self-adhesive bumpers made by 3M. Some people call those things rubber feet or rubber bumpers. You can buy them on Amazon or even at the supermarket if you look in the hardware section. Just get the kind that are very small and flat. All in all, I love this light and I am so pleased by how functional it is. It's a great value for the money too. ... show more

Good product, bad packaging
Color: White
Overall, product functions as advertised. Waiting to see how it affects my mood over the cold months. My biggest complaint, and the only reason I'm not giving it five stars, is that the box was pretty damaged on receipt. It was falling apart at the bottom, and all the usual packing take you would expect to find was missing. I suspect I was sent a returned product, and at this price point I would prefer something not covered in fingerprints (like the lamp was when I got it). Overall the product is good but I have issues with how mine was handled ... show more
