I'm so happy to have found these mint-green, modern-looking Adirondack chairs. In my search for the perfect ones I learned that you will have to pay more for good qualify. Yes, these are spendy but they are worth it. Assembly was a bit too IKEA for my taste and took two of us a couple of hours to do six chairs. One of the chairs, the already assembled arm had stripped screws so we had to glue it back together. But now it's good as new. Quick tips. One, get an Allen wrench or hex key bit for your drill. It will make assembly go so much faster than the handheld Allen wrench that comes with the chairs. Two, order four chairs, not two chairs at a time. The two chairs were delivered (late) by USPS. The four chairs, orders days later, arrived by UPS and faster than the ones by the USPS and which the postal service couldn't find for two days. We thought we would end up having to cancel that first order since the chairs were nowhere to be found, thus the second order of four chairs. I'm guessing an order of four chairs is too heavy for USPS delivery and that's why they were delivered by UPS--so much better. Three, take one of the pieces of the chair BEFORE you assemble it, to get a can of color-matched paint. These are wood chairs and may need touch up in years to come. By having the paint ready to go, this should make touch ups easier in the future and ensure they will match the chairs. ... show more

On the property where our condo is there is an ancient, very large oak tree that we can see from our kitchen window. An area around it has been dug up and filled in with enrichment for this aged tree. So one day as I was looking out the window, thinking about when I was a graduate student at Bread Loaf School of English outside Middlebury, Vermont, where on the expanse of lawns were many Adirondack chairs. Bo bucolic. Ah, yes, that is what I want down under that tree on the area which is now mulched. So that is when I found these chairs. They are absolutely wonderful (I love also the mint green color). The directions for assembly are very, very clear. And, yes, I did indeed completely that assembly in about thirty minutes with the only tool not included, a screw driver. Once those two were down there and being used not only by me and my husband but also a few other residents here, I purchased a third one that is just outside our condo unit when it is shadier in the afternoon. I was really surprised by this chair. For the price, it is very sturdy, well-made, and attractive. Assembly took about 45 minutes for the second one I did - from unpacking, assembly, and clean up of packing materials. It comes nicely packed and there was no damage. The instructions get a B+ for clarity. The box contains several preassembled pieces - back, seat, and legs. You attach all of those along with some smaller pieces. Use a better hex tool if you have it. It comes with 1 extra pieces of hardware/type so don't be surprised when you have leftover screws, etc. The style is a modern version of a classic chair with its straight lines. It does not look overly 'country', which is why I purchased it. I bought 2 and I may buy 2 more! ... show more

Bought two of these a few months back and would love two more but the price has basically doubled. They were pretty easy to put together and seem sturdy. They look great, but are not super comfortable, so purchased lumbar pillows to help, and are rough to the touch. Did put a weatherproofing stain on them and cover them in inclement weather.     • Long screw (3) is a pain in the ass

The long long screw (3) as the last step is impossible to get all the way in, I don’t know if it’s a factory defect that they’re not drilling a deep enough hole for the screw, and it being an Allen key bolt is quite dumb. This makes it incredibly easy to strip the head of the screw. This made the experience sour for me. Although the chairs look nice this is just very annoying. I’m going to drill in a deeper hole in the second chair I bought. And going to struggle getting the screw back out to try again on the first. Luckily there’s an extra screw per chair, so hopefully I’m not fully screwed. ... show more
