  • THE DOG BRUSH based on the Original Big G Slicker Brush used by professional groomers. Pet owners can benefit from the Chris Christensen difference without the professional price tag. Use the Chris Home Care Big G for deshedding, detangling, finishing, and fluffing your dog between groomer visits. Available in a limited-edition teal color and two sizes to fit your breed and size of dog. For at-home use.
  • DESHEDDING BRUSH removes trapped undercoat with less strokes. The extra-long angled pins effectively reach down into the coat removing dead and loose undercoat. The hair remains trapped inside the brush, until removed. Perfect for double-coated breeds, especially during the shedding season. Frequent brushing with the Big G keeps shedding hair around the home at a minimum. Spend less time cleaning and more time bonding with your pet.
  • DETANGLING BRUSH this slicker brush is ideal for removing fine knots from long-coated breeds and the tiny mats hidden in tight curly-coated breeds. With 30% more pins than other slickers, the Big G slicker works 30% harder for you. Brushing with this slicker brush is easier, faster and will make your trip to the groomers painless.
  • DOODLE BRUSH - the long, dense pins are perfect for fluffing curly, cottony coats and fluffing and shaping heads, toplines, and legs. Ideal for Poodles, Bichons, Labradoodles, Goldendoodles, and other Doodle breeds.
  • TRUSTED DESIGN with the innovative design of the Original Big G, the teal version also has the unique ergonomic handle design but without the non-slip grip that professional groomers need. Every pin is angled for gentle brushing and sits within a flexible cushioned pad allowing the pins to flex softly and glide through the coat. The extra curved back allows additional control, movement, and direction when brushing. Brushing with the Big G is easy on the dog and you.

Chris Home Care Big G is a pared-down version for owners grooming at home. Use the Big G Teal Slicker for deshedding, detangling, finishing, and fluffing your dog between groomer visits. “I use a slicker a lot for removing undercoat on my Shiba and detangling my Cavalier and this brush is AMAZING for both jobs. I have a ton of basic style slickers but the bristles are nowhere near as long and firm as these. Plus my dogs don't mind being brushed with this at all.” Extra pins to deshed and detangle. Do more work, with less effort. The Big G Slicker works 30% harder for you, reducing the time you spend brushing. Reach deep into the coat, flexing as you brush, making it easy to deshed and detangle. Angled ends grab and remove the undercoat, without scratching. Extra-long curved handle makes it easier to brush through thick coats without pain or cramping. Curved back allows additional control, movement and direction. Flexible cushioned pin pad is forgiving and gentle as the brush moves through the coat. Created by Chris Christensen. Welcome to Chris Home Care, a new era in pet care. • The best Brush
Size: Medium Color: Teal
Aquí tienes una versión natural y profesional en inglés para una reseña: This brush in the medium size worked exceptionally well for grooming my Mini Bernedoodle and my Toy Poodle. It made removing knots and tangles much easier, saving me a lot of time and effort. The handle is very comfortable and ergonomic, making it easy to use during longer grooming sessions. The quality is excellent—the materials feel durable and sturdy enough to handle heavy use. Most importantly, it is gentle on my dogs’ skin and does not cause irritation. Overall, this brush is absolutely worth the investment and has become an essential part of my grooming routine. ... show more

  • Wow! Works so well for my Labradoodle’s fur!
Size: Large Color: Teal
I’ve been eying this brush for a while. I have a Labradoodle with extremely thick, dense, curly hair. I have had such a hard time finding a brush that would brush his coat deep enough down to actually keep the mattes out. This brush does exactly that! It’s amazing! It guided through his coat with ease and even brushed out some sticker burs he had gotten into outside without pulling any of his hair. It is an expensive brush, which did deter me from buying it for the longest time. I finally took the plunge with it being on sale for $48 during Prime Day. For that price, I’d buy it again for sure! $60 still feels a bit too high. ... show more

  • Purchase this brush!! You won’t regret it! Purchase this brush!! You won’t regret it!
Size: Large Color: Coral
This brush is AMAZING! I have a Tibetan Terrier, and the breed is notoriously challenging to groom. This brush was so efficient it literally cut our brushing time in half, which was great for both me and my dog, Mitzi. Tibetan Terriers are technically a non-shedding breed, but they have a very wooly undercoat that can mat easily, especially when the seasons change. I keep her hair long, and as the weather warms up she starts blowing her undercoat. This brush pulled out an incredible amount of that loose undercoat while also working through a few mats she was starting to develop. It’s a very dense brush, but it didn’t seem to pull hard or bother her at all, and she was (mostly) patient through the entire brushing session, which is saying a lot for a long grooming session. She’s now unbelievably fluffy and looks fantastic. I honestly wish I had bought this brush two years ago, it would have saved us so much time. Worth every penny. I’m definitely going to buy the smaller size to make underarms, face, and paws easier. Highly, highly recommend this brush, the quality is phenomenal. ... show more

  • Howard approves. Howard's mom is obsessed. Howard approves. Howard's mom is obsessed.
Size: Large Color: Teal
Let me be upfront: I am a repeat buyer of this brush, and I will keep buying it until they pry it from my tired, grooming-weary hands. If that's not a five-star review in itself, I don't know what is. My dog Howard is an extremely fluffy goldendoodle — emphasis on extremely fluffy — which means daily brushing isn't optional, it's a lifestyle. Thirty minutes a day, every day. I am hard on my brushes, and most of them tap out within a few months. This one holds up. The quality is genuinely above what you'd expect. The bristles stay put, the handle is comfortable for a long session, and it moves through Howard's coat without the kind of tugging that turns grooming time into a negotiation. Howard is not what I'd call an enthusiastic participant in his own grooming, but he tolerates this brush better than anything else I've tried — and at this point we've tried a lot. The fun colors are a small thing but a real thing. Teal is a perfectly cheerful color for an object you're going to be staring at for half an hour every morning. If you have a doodle, a poodle, or any dog with a coat that has opinions about brushing, this is the brush. It's not cheap, but it earns its price every single session. Buy it. Your dog might not thank you, but their coat will. ... show more

  • Pricey but worth it Pricey but worth it
Size: Large Color: Coral
Undoubtedly, if you’re reading this review you probably have a fluffy double coated dog breed and read some where that this brush is the best. And then you’re probably wondering if it is worth the $60 and maybe how it compares to the alternatives. I spent a long time trying to decide if the brush would be worth it before I purchased it because I had never thought about spending so much a brush! So I tried it and I absolutely love it and my dog loves it too. The long bristles really grab my dogs undercoat and I think that has to do with the bristle density as well (none of the “dupes” I found matched the bristle density). I found that the comfort in my hands as well as for my dog is unmatched! She used to try to bite the brush where as now she is rolling over on her belly for more brushing! I think this is a buy it once cry once product as it feels very well made. The material is very light and shaped nicely so I can brush her out easily. I have been using this every night with my dog and she barely sheds anymore and her coat looks absolutely fantastic. She looks very brushed out and airy and we have received a lot of compliments on how good her fur looks now! If you are on the fence just get it. It really works great! ... show more

  • Works well, but WHY IS IT $65???
Size: Large Color: Coral
We had a cheap brush before getting this one. It worked okay, but the shorter bristles felt like they weren't getting very deep. We wondered if that was the reason for all of the shedding, since the Bernedoodle is supposed to be a low shedder. We did a lot of research for top brands, and this one was on every single list if not at the top of them. Everyone gushed about its miraculous ability to glide through fur, to break through clumps, to leave a coat sleek and shiny, and to reduce shedding with removing the undercoat. So many people claimed that their dog usually hated being brushed, but oh, not with THIS brush! THIS one will have them on their butts for hours, happily wagging their tails from such a luxurious grooming experience. BUT THE PRICE. $65? And that's less than the actual listing price of $83. If you google "slicker brush," the next highest price I see is around $30, but the majority are an average of $20. Why is it so expensive??? I thought it must have the most cutting-edge design to boast such a number. It took us forever to finally justify getting this. But we did. And...I'm a bit underwhelmed after all the hype. Don't get me wrong, it's a good brush. It does feel like it gets in there pretty deep and it doesn't pull as much. But she still sheds a lot, even though we brush her often (I guess the brand itself doesn't technically claim that it does that, but man, lots of influencers were claiming it did). And the result looks almost the same. I feel a bit scammed. $65? Really? I'd moan less about it if it was $45, $50 tops. It's like those makeup brands that sell a 1.5 oz serum for $300, when other companies sell theirs for $15 and it does the same thing. ... show more

  • Quality brush
Size: Small Color: Brown
The handle is comfortable and the brush is very high quality. Purchased for my miniature poodle. I discovered that I needed a medium size brush with soft, longer pins. Not recommended for a miniature poodle with longer coat. It is a great brush for other, less poofy pups

  • Works - But with a Catch!
Size: Large Color: Coral
I splurged on this item because we recently adopted a 3 y/o Bernedoodle and his coat is starting to grow out. Full disclosure, he is not a fan of this brush as the only grooming item. But I believe it's because his hair is currently too long and needs to be cut, and has started developing some mats, so using this brush takes more effort than it would if he had been groomed/maintained with it. All that being said - when I first tried the brush, I was dismayed, because it instantly got caught in his mats. I thought to myself, "Oh no, all this money and it's not going to work." But I'd never dealt with a Bernedoodle coat before, or a slicker brush, and was really expecting it to magically glide through all of those mats/tangles. Fast forward, I started using the metal comb first to break apart the mats, then the slicker brush, and it worked like a charm AND he tolerated it well. Now, I have since lost that darn comb, and faced with no choice, had to figure out a way to use this slicker brush to get out the mats. And I figured out the way. Instead of just expecting it to glide through the hair, I basically make short stroking motions; once the brush is "caught" in the mat, I lift up, then take another short stroke. Doing it this way, it actually gets through the mats after maybe 5-10 short strokes on each section. Within no time, I was able to run the brush through the entire top of my dog's back (he's a "mini" Bernedoodle, though more like a small standard at 61 lbs). So, I know some reviewers said the brush didn't work, but after my experience, it might be more of a technique issue than a design flaw. Regarding cleaning the brush - that was also really easy, once I figured out how. You basically just run the side of your hand or the tips of your finders from top to bottom of the brush, with the angled tips of the brush pointing down (so go in the direction of the bristles). Doing that motion a few times releases ALL of the hair (and it's a lot of hair!). It's actually easier to clean that my quick release Furminator (which I used on my longhaired dachshund and cat, but all the forums say to avoid with Bernedoodles). The only other thing to keep in mind is that this brush is pretty big. I'm not talking plate-sized, but probably about the size of your hand, so my dog doesn't really tolerate it well on his legs or anywhere near his face. However, because the brush was generally so effective, I went ahead and ordered the baby sized one so I can get his chopstick legs (Bernedoodle owners, IYKYK) and his face. Also, just keep in mind that if your dog is super matted, it is probably going to be a lot of work to attempting to use this brush to get all the mats out; my dog tolerated the stainless comb so much better so what ends up being more ideal for our situation is to use the comb, then once everything is combing nicely, follow up with the slicker brush. I know this brush is spendy, and money is tight. But I appreciate that it is made in Germany where workers are paid fair wages. So if you are conscious of that type of thing, I would definitely go with this brush. To balance that out, I did order a different (more affordable) brand of comb. But all in all, considering how much upkeep is required for Bernedoodles (a breed we have now fallen completely in love with to the point that we got our "rescue" a baby brother!), I think it's well worth the investment. ... show more
