  • Impressive pedal for the money. BL 3207 & BL 3102 clones.
Color: Blue - Analog Chorus
The Yler RS-07 chorus is a faithful remake of a classic analog effects pedal. With a circuit built around the BL 3207 and BL 3102 ICs, the net outcome is pretty good. Variable controls add depth and rate of delay recombine to give a pleasant, if albeit dry, effects tone. I compared this with my very vintage Ibanez stereo chorus and minus the stereo, the net design appears quite similar. The Ibanez has a superior warm tone having the original real IC set, but twice the size and not as well isolated when using a 9 volt AC power supply as the Yler. The board is housed in a diecast case with excellent fit and finish. Electrical shielding is very good. A large Switchcraft style push switch provides positive control. A large plastic stomp button mounts on top, if desired. While the electrical switching is noiseless, the mechanical noise of the pushbutton is rather loud. Input/output jacks are offset to accommodate z plugs in a multi-pedal rig. No means for a 9VDC battery and the box does not come with a power supply. All and all I was quite impressed and would suggest giving it a try as it offers real bang for the buck value. ... show more

  • A decent budget compressor pedal
Color: Gray - Dyna Compressor
This compressor pedal seems to be a decent budget compressor option. There are much better compressors, but for the price it does the job well enough for gigging, practice, and learning about compressors. There are a few different types of compressor circuits in use and this one is the same sort used in MXR and others. It does the same job, but has a slightly different sound, than some of the other compressors such as the Mooer Yellow Comp which is an optical compressor modeled after a different circuit. Build quality seems good, with a sturdy metal housing, a switch that feels fine at least so far, and the knobs look and feel nice. It comes with a foot switch cap that looks nice (rainbow glitter in translucent plastic) and has a bare (painted) bottom so you can easily attach velcro for sticking it to your board. It requires external power so pedal board use is going to make the most sense. It's a true bypass pedal analog compressor. Functionally, if you've used a compressor with attack, sustain, and make-up gain you'll be familiar with how this one works. If you haven't, compressors cut the volume of loud signals. How quickly they start cutting is based on the attack setting, and how long after a loud sound they will continue to keep the volume lowered is based on the sustain setting. Adjust those to shape the sound how you want, and then use the level to knob to get your volume back. You can use it as a bit of a boost if you want, or you can adjust it so that the bypassed and compressed signals have the same level. Tone wise, it rolls off lows a bit. I didn't notice any loss of highs but that could be more about my overall rig. It isn't silent but would be completely usable in a live sound rig. I tried this with both a 4-string bass and a guitar and it sounded good, but I'd be a little hesitant with a 5+ string bass, and I think it's more intended for guitar. Overall, I wouldn't be ashamed to have this on a budget pedal board. ... show more

  • ABY Guitar Pedal
Color: Brown - ABY
This guitar pedal or switch one source to two different outputs or two sources to one different output. It works great and doesn’t even require power. If you don’t need the LED light, or at least that’s what it says, but I haven’t even tried it without a power supply, come to think of it. It introduces absolutely no noise into the signal chain, which is great. It’s definitely a handy pedal to have. ... show more
