While I am annoyed at Dover for increasing the price of this great book (although Amazon sold it for only a couple of dollars!) it has been a mainstay of my repertoire for a long time. I recently bought another copy as my old one is falling apart. This book includes the First Ballade by Chopin, several of his Etudes from op.10 and op.25, the Scherzo no.2, the Marche Funebre, a selection of Mazurkas and Waltzes, and some other collected works. If you want a proper representation of Chopin’s works, you can find no better collection than this one. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the kindle version as I usually prefer printed music.

Just wish I had a bigger kindle to read it on (or that kindle magnified music images like it does text), but it's fun to be able to get all of my favorite Chopin pieces electronically.

Great selection of pieces but useless to me: although the pages are of decent size, the actual music score appears to have been made to fit standard-sized sheets of copy paper. This would probably be fine for younger players with superb vision but if you're older you would struggle to play it by sight reading alone. A bit more effort on the part of the publisher to fill the entire page and they'd have a 5 star product. I'd go with Schirmer instead even if you have to buy several in order to get all the selections you're after. ... show more
