It's a great shelf! But the brackets that come with it are way too small to hold it up. But after I put different brackets it works perfectly! I would buy it again. It's super easy to assemble, very sturdy, and is worth the price.

I was actually impressed with the quality of the wood and the simplicity of the setup. It’s very solid, heavy and easy to put together. What you should know is that those silly wall mounts they give you will barely support the shelf if you are screwing them into drywall with their anchors. You really need to mount to a stud. I also attached L brackets for added support. Please don’t try to attach this to your drywall with the anchors they give you, those are meant for masonry and will not hold the shelf. It’s surprisingly heavy and I would hate to feel what that would feel like coming down on someone (especially a child). That being said this was worth the money and I really like the quality of it and the fact that it took me 15-20 total to unbox and put together, I may even purchase another one in the future. ... show more

I love the shelf it is thick heavy and well constructed wood and it's a 2 person job. And also the little brackets that came with the shelf were not enough to hold it up so you must purchase larger metal brackets And use a drill and you're good to go. Awesome shelf looks great on the wall and pretty sturdy. It is too heavy for the anchors in just drywall and needs to be put in an actual stud. The hanging mechanism also comes off the wall too much, I had to add some extra screws in the studs thru the shelf to make sure it wouldn't fall off the wall. ... show more

I would NOT recommend this product. Using the provided hardware, assembly was quite easy. Mounting it with their anchors and screws was a failure. The shelf came out of the wall within 24 hours. Had to take it all apart to fit it back into the box for the return. Sometimes Amazon makes returns so difficult. No weight was put on it either. Huge crash in the middle of the night. So, DO NOT buy this product unless you have stronger anchors and screws. ... show more

    • Frustrating Mounts

The actual quality and sturdiness of this product is great. Meets my expectations in terms of what feels like a durable shelf. However, as most reviewers have pointed out the mounting clasps are not strong enough to hold the shelf flush to the wall. In my case, it is leaning about 20° forward, even after adjusting the clasps multiple times. I like the shelf and since it’s already up, I just went ahead and ordered a few L brackets that should do the trick. Tl;dr Is a sturdy shelf. The mounting brackets are weak. You will likely need extra brackets to fully support the shelf flush with the wall. That being said, it looks great and the price is fair. ... show more
