I liked the way that the furniture was packaged, I purchased two chairs. All parts were well protected with foam wrap, foam bag for the upholstery on the chair, no complains on packaging and protection of the product. The picture of the material (fog) does not do it justice, it is more of a light gray tweed type material and is very nice we think, works well with our deco. The legs are well built and seem very solid and a bit heavy for there size (good). Installation was a breeze, instructions where clear and easy to follow and took maybe 10 minutes to install the base to the chair. Took longer to get the hardware out of the package Note- there are NO extra parts so do not drop one and lose it. You get four screws, four washers and four lock washers and that is what you need. I purchased the five year warranty from Allstate via Amazon for $30.00 as it is a swivel chair. What I did not like was the delivery (Fedex). They just left the two boxes in the drive way, never came to the front door ( I have Ring on door and cameras on driveway) they just left them in the drive way, Glad it did not rain or someone steal them. My wife was home and I had ran an errand, came back and there they were. No fault of the manufacture but I would have expected someone to come to the door and ring the bell at least. Could not have been more pleased with this purchase. The stools are beautiful and very well made and while it took me a little while to put the 6 of them together (bought 3 sets), they are sturdy and I love the swivel feature for the most part as now the moving of the actual stool which would compromise the wood floors is less likely. I purchased the retro grey and it is a nice steel grey or close to charcoal color which is nice in terms of not staining and the faux leather is easy to clean. The only feature that is not my favorite is the 360 degree swivel...a back and forth or 180 degree swivel may have been better in preventing the back portion from hitting the counter top. The counter top height is PERFECTION in terms of comfort and your legs no matter the size fit comfortably underneath the counter overhang. I also liked that the chairs accommodate up to 300 pounds when most stools I found had max weight of 250 pounds. I felt like the extra 50 pound weight accommodation meant they would be more sturdy and they are indeed more sturdy than other stools I have considered. GREAT PURCHASE!!!!! ... show more

Very comfortable, nice looking, and relatively light counter height swivel stool. I purchased two and intend to order 2 more. Assembly was straight forward using the excellent directions supplied and took about 15 min/stool. Even the allen wrench supplied is of good quality. A cross tip or Philips screwdriver is required to complete assy. my only criticism is that the rubber feet were causing a loud noise when moved on my smooth porcelain floor so I had to install some felt feet. delivery was on time as stated by vendor and well packed as all items were well wrapped and protected. The lightness of the stools is due in part of the soft wood used so I would not recommend this for commercial application as I don’t think it would hold up but perfect for Home use. No regrets with this purchase. ... show more

We loved our old black leather barstools- see the picture below. The problem is that the legs were so narrow the chair would easily tip. Yes we both were frequently landing on the floor getting off the stools, and we don't even drink. ;-) But then look at the picture of these barstools we replaced them with. Every bit as good looking and durable, PLUS, they are STABLE. Nice wide legs at bottom. Never bought a piece of furniture off Amazon before, but these do have good reviews, and I thought I'd take a chance. Very fortunate. These are as comfortable as they are great looking. ... show more

Rating for the chairs alone is a four, only because items were not fully assembled. Four legs and four crossbars had to be assembled and connected to chair. It was moderately hard but mostly time-consuming. The chairs are really beautiful and seem sturdy. They are well cushioned and fairly comfortable with plenty of seating room. They swivel nicely with just the right amount of effort. I have only had them for a few days so am unable to know how they will hold up to wear, etc. Rating for delivery is a big fat zero! FedEx delivered them to the wrong address. I contacted fedex and all they would say was that it had been delivered, and all they would do is tell me to contact the seller. It was not the sellers fault or problem. That belonged to fedex alone. What I had to do (and it was a lot of trouble) was drive around the neighborhood and search for the package. I did find it and it was delivered to the right number but the wrong street. Go figure. The box was extremely heavy and I (weighing 107 lbs) could only scoot it but not lift. I asked one of my neighbors to help me load it, and he couldn't lift it either. He called for more help and together they were able to load it into my car. The homeowners were not home so I explained to them through their video doorbell what had happened. I only hope the other neighbors didn't think I was stealing the package. An unpleasant experience except for the kindness of others willing to help. If I had known fedex was in charge of delivery, I would not have ordered as this same thing has happened before at another address. I am use to amazon delivery which is spot on every time. Btw, the stools were well packed and secure with all parts inside. ... show more
