I kept cutting my finger every time I used it (due to the way I held it). This version has a smooth, rounded handle and handle-grip, so no sharp edges. The leading edge of the spatula is aggressive enough that you will scrape the finish on your wok, regardless of what it is. So, have some very fine sandpaper to knock down those edges. Don't go too coarse or you risk leaving roughness on the adjacent areas - 2000 grit worked well for me, though I suspect 400-800 would have been perfect I didn't have any handy. ... show more

This is an excellent wok spatula and is built very well. The handle stays cool but I do wish that it was about an inch longer. The shape is fantastic and as other have mentioned, I did shave down some of the sharp edge where the spatula contacts the pan. After that, it’s awesome!

I bought this to replace an old Oxo wok spatula whose rubber on the handle had finally eroded from too many times in the dishwasher. This unit has a very nice heft & feel to it, making it easy to scrape and flip and turn food in my wok. There are two problems, though, both sort of minor (I think): When cooking something complex where you're working over the wok for longer than a few minutes, this all-metal spatula can get a little hot up by the handle. If you take a little break from stirring while cooking to let things cool down a bit, it's fine. (But I never had that issue with the Oxo.) Second, after about 4 uses, I find that there's something rattling around inside this spatula, so I guess the handle must be a bit hollow. It's no big deal, but just mildly annoying that it seems like something inside already broke loose. ... show more
