I wanted to buy some cabinet locks to baby proof my home for when my grandkids are visiting, but I didn't want the hassle of cabinet locks that were permanent. Enter the magnetic lock solution! Once installed, these can be enabled or disabled as you need them. There is a locking feature on the mechanism that you can basically have in the open or close position (see photos). When you want to enable them to be locked, but want to get inside your cabinet door, you use the magnetic key. Works like a charm. My biggest gripe is that the directions are terrible, AND that the alignment tool that helps you match up the two components doesn't hold well. I was glad it came with extra 3M tape because we needed it after the alignment didn't work and we had to peel it off. They do come with screws if you want a more permanent installation, but we just used the adhesive. We've only had them installed for a week, so I can't speak to longevity. I have kept the screws in case we want to make them more permanent. Overall, the product works as intended, but installation is made more difficult because of the instructions as well as the alignment tool.

I really am happy with these! It is amazing how you realize just how many drawers you have after having a baby. This set is a really good price for the amount you get (32 locks 3 keys). It comes with magnet holders that you can stick anywhere with 3M tape to hold your keys, which is super convenient. We put one on one side of the kitchen, one on the other side, then one in the bathroom up high where littles can’t grab them. The locks themselves are small but mighty and very easy to install (the 3M tape is already on them and you get extra in case you mess up). They give you screws too in case you want extra security but the strips will be good enough for a while. You can give a good tug and these hold up. Unlocking is very easy. These function exactly as they should and the price can’t be beat (at least from what I see). Pro tip, don’t tug on the locks for 24 hours to let the strips set for a stronger hold!

I really appreciate the size of the large set which 32 locks. This gives new parents plenty to secure all the cabinets and furniture doors they may have. The fact that they can be applied without tools is a huge plus, but be aware that the fasteners included (adhesive) may be difficult to remove later. They do not look like the type of adhesives that you can pull on a tab to remove. There is an option to attach with screws that you provide if desired. That said, I would not risk attaching anything to the outside of the door. If you place the inner piece on the same location on every door, you shouldn't need the outer piece to remind you where to place the key to unlock it. There are only three keys to this set, which seems like a low number considering how many locks are included. One drawback is that you really can't open this lock without a magnetic key, so if you lose these, you're kinda out of luck. I believe any magnet would work as a substitute if needed though. Overall, I think these are a great idea and a nice change from the traditional push in child safety locks.

These are easy to install and work so well! The adhesive is strong and stays in place. They're small enough that they don't get in the way or stand out bad. And I love that you can't see them with the cabinets/drawers closed. Best ones I've used so far.

The concept is good, but the little lever part is not supported by anything; it's floppy, so putting it behind my cabinet door didn't do anything. The lever falls down, otherwise it would be a nice option for keeping my cabinets safe from my toddler. The magnet is strong and works even through thick cupboard doors.

I only need cabinet locks for the days my toddler grandson is visiting, so didn't want permanent ones screwed into our wood cabinets, so the 3M was a good sealant (after the alcohol wipe to get off any dust/grime). But, I had to watch the video 3x before having an a-ha! moment on how to make the template puzzle together for placement. The written instructions are bad. With only 2 magnet "keys" for 22 locks, you need to keep them in a handy location...I don't really like that when I want to open the under the sink cab, I need to go to where I last used it and bring it back to the kitchen. This sounds lazy, but I feel that an 'on-site' release system would be better for me. I'll be giving these to the kids to install in their own house - they are much quicker with the baby solutions!
