Cute colorful hammock at a reasonable price point. The Fabric is a little thinner than my previous hammock but should last the season. The hanger isn’t reinforced as was my previous hammock which had a metal ring attached . Comes with small pillow, small carry bag, and straps for hanging from a tree so that’s a bonus!     • Comfortable material, huge hit with the child
Overall, this hammock was a hit. Our daughter spent the entire afternoon on it, despite the cold temperatures today. The included straps gave it plenty of room to spread out over a much larger space than I had originally thought it would, allowing us to put it in a different part of the yard where I didn't think there was any chance I could get it to fit. The material is very comfortable to the touch, and the overall feel of the hammock was cozy, but while it contains detachable spreader bars, they don't really do the job. This isn't what I'm used to from a spreader bar hammock. The bars don't spread it out very far, for a start. They also don't want to stay put, so they're not doing all that much in reality. It might add a little stability, but not a whole lot. As a result, when I first tried to sit in this hammock, I hit the ground. There is soooo much material in this width, with no horizontal pull to keep you from sinking into the middle. Tightening the hang straps only raises the tension of the edges and does nothing for the tension of the middle. I moved the straps higher up and tightened them more, which at least kept me from ending up in the dirt, but it was still rather like being a pea in a pod. The sides of the hammock came up so far on each side past my body that it probably looked from an outside perspective as though the hammock was empty, and I myself could not see over the sidewalls when lying down with my head on the included pillow. That's not necessarily a bad feeling, being cocooned like that, but it was not something I was used to experiencing with a traditional spread hammock, and I don't know if it was exactly what I was looking for right now. (I kind of need to be able to see my kid at this age.) The child is happy, though, which is what really matters, as she's the one who will probably use it far more than the parents. ... show more

I recently obtained the Chihee Cotton Hammock and couldn't be happier with my decision. My husband and I were seeking for a hammock that could comfortably accommodate both of us, and this one fits the bill nicely. The size allows us to relax together without feeling crowded. One of the hammock's most distinguishing features is its unique spreader bars. They provide precisely the right curvature to keep the hammock in shape, adding to the cozy feeling while you lie in it. I love how it cradles you and makes relaxation easier. The breathable cloth is another advantage. It's a game changer, especially during hot weather. I don't have to worry about being too hot while relaxing outside, which allows me to spend more time outside. This hammock by Chihee is very nice! The pillow is super soft and fits nicely under your head. The hammock fit my frame a little tight but with the added carabiners it set perfectly. The wood blocks really help balance it out. The straps are strong for when your tethering to a tree or post. Even the dogs liked it. This is definitely up on one of my favorite list. We spend a good deal of time camping across the summer months and have been using nylon hammocks with bug netting. We recently added a dog to our family and he is not a fan of the nylon hammocks. I ordered this hammock because it is made of cotton and has the wooden spreaders which help to keep the hammock in a more open position. The new hammock works great and is more comfortable than the nylon ones. Set up was easy and I love the colorful material. I set it up in the backyard and the dog was willing to try it out as well so it looks like we will be back to swinging in the trees in the great outdoors. ... show more
