  • SUPER FOOD!!!
Flavor Name: Sardines in Oil Size: 3.75 ounce (Pack of 1)
READ how to make these taste like some gourmet food and I'm no chef! I really am addicted to sardines! My dog and I eat them at least two or three times a week. He's A 50 lb Siberian Husky and I'm about 150 lb gring0 so I'll give him about a quarter of the can and a quarter of the juice and I ate the rest. I chop up some red onion, a little fresh garlic, a little jalapeno and I put some olive oil, lemon juice, and a little Cholula sauce, a little Lee and Perrin's Worcestershire sauce and a little horseradish sauce. I get about a half of slice of sourdough bread and I toast it put a little butter on that and I sprinkle some garlic sea salt on the bread a little olive oil on the bread. I mixed that it up and eat it with the bread. I don't give my dog a lot of the spicy stuff with it because I don't want him to get an upset stomach, but we love our sardinas day. I try to have it at least three times a week. Now I'm not kidding, It tastes like some gourmet food. I'm not a big fish eater unless I'm at the coast and eating some flounder something or I like some catfish if people know what they're doing, And occasionally I'll eat some tuna, but I'm not a big fish eater but Even if you don't have everything that I listed above, it still tastes like some gourmet food. Sometimes I don't add the Worcestershire sauce but the most important thing are the onions and jalapenos and a little horseradish sauce You can even put some spicy mustard like Creole mustard You just can't go wrong putting things that you like in it. Mix it to the side of the plate and try a little and if it's good put a bunch in there. I feel like I'm a five-star chef! Make sure you eat all the oil in it too, because that's where all the omega-3s are! You're welcome!!!❤️☀️⭐🌙 ... show more

  • I hadn't had sardines in years & truly forgot how satisfyingly delicious they are...
Flavor Name: Sardines in Oil Size: 3.53 Ounce (Pack of 36)
I hadn't had sardines in years & truly forgot how satisfyingly delicious they are. These are great. They're very convenient as a snack or part of a meal. I've recently decided to try to lose some weight the "retro" way (diet & exercise) & I've incorporated sardines into the line-up. In particular the Chicken of the Sea sardines which are 90 calories per pack & reasonably priced. I'm trying to lay off the carbs, so crackers are at a minimum. I enjoy these on salads, sometimes warmed over a small portion of rice (carbs are a minimum 😂 trust me). I forgot them on the stove 1 time & the skin got "crispy" (oh my a happy accident), it was delicious. The average package has about 4 good size whole sardines & the texture is firm. I use the packing oil as part of a dressing. They're also delicious with mustard, lemon, hot sauce, etc ... they're very versatile. **if you decide to warm them, make sure to cover because the oil does pop. I usually pour whole package into small frying pan. ... show more

  • Healthy and more convenient than canned sardines :-)
Flavor Name: Sardines in Oil Size: 3.53 Ounce (Pack of 36)
Healthy and more convenient than canned sardines :-) Google AI Queries and Results: Which is Better, Pouched or Canned Fish? "Pouched fish is generally better for flavor, texture, and convenience (no draining, no can opener), while canned fish is superior for budget, long-term storage, and larger portions. Pouches often provide a firmer, fresher product, whereas canned is usually more cost-effective per ounce and easier to find in bulk." Is pouched fish more sustainable than canned fish? "For Carbon Footprint: Pouches often hold an edge due to lower transportation energy, as they are lighter and more compact. For Waste Reduction: Cans are superior because they are recyclable, whereas pouches are not. Regardless of packaging, the most important sustainability factor is the fish source—look for MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certification for well-managed fisheries, or pole-caught tuna to minimize bycatch." ... show more

  • The Sardines in Hot Sauce were good, the Lightly Smoked in Oil not so much. The Sardines in Hot Sauce were good, the Lightly Smoked in Oil not so much.
Flavor Name: Sardines in Oil Size: 3.75 ounce (Pack of 1)
First, the Lightly Smoked in Oil: The sardine can came with the sides dented in, but I don’t believe the product was compromised because of it. Inside, there were 8-12 sardines of varying sizes haphazardly piled in. It was hard to tell how many there were, because the bottom layer of sardines were broken to pieces. The flavor of the sardines is inoffensive, but I couldn’t detect any smoke flavor. The texture of them is quite soft, borderline mushy, which explains why they fell apart in the can. I could see myself choosing these again if they were less than $1.25 a can. Considering King Oscar is only a few cents more, I don’t see myself buying these again. Overall I’m rating these 3 stars because there were no strange pieces in the can and everything was edible and inoffensive. Chicken of the Sea sardines in hot sauce: These sardines are a very good value. Inside the can were 14 small sardines that I was delighted to see were all still intact. Although the sauce is somewhat lacking in flavor, the spiciness works well with the flavor of the sardines. The texture of them was so soft that they were nearly falling apart, but that didn’t stop me from finishing off the can. Compared to Chicken of the Sea Lightly Smoked Sardines in Oil, these sardines in hot sauce were much more palatable in texture and flavor. At only $1.08 per can, these are a fantastic choice for budget sardines. 4 out of 5 stars. ... show more
