It gets extremely hot but, you can only feel the heat while standing directly in front of, only touching it, ie laying ontop of. This is not recommended by me for heat source for any animal. Possibly may burn animal, ie harm if contact. You will have to lay flat but, don't recommend placing cloth onto of. May cause fire. ... show more
