His infant car seat was a chicco and we absolutely loved it and we also got a 2nd chicco car seat for our 2nd vehicle that converts to a high back/booster. We finally upgraded from an infant carseat to a big boy one. Of all the car seats our in the different vehicles, our kiddo likes this one the best. It was more expensive but seems to have more cushion and padding which is great for all the long roadtrips and camping we like to do. We have found that it is definitely worth the extra money and hopefully he doesn't grow out of this one too soon.     • Suggestions for a better car seat

All in all, I think I will be very happy with this carseat, but I just wanted to comment on a few concerns. I read the user guide thoroughly but had to stop quite a few times to decipher the booklet. For instance, pg.17, “child’s ears are below the headrest” (of the car, of the carseat?) Pg. 39 shows a photo of two examples of children, one seated properly and one not seated properly even though the ears are not above the headrest. Pg.19 photo seemed confusing and could use clarification to go with “child’s ears are below vehicle seat” stated on the corresponding page. Page 38 and page 56 also. I also would like to suggest that when the user manual is reprinted that the following is added to Page 50 — when the strap and clip are not needed, simply feed the strap back into the slot and then reposition the clip. A couple more suggestions — 1. redesign/make the removal of the arm rest fabric much easier. It is near impossible to unsnap the armrest fabric the way it is. (Why make it so hard for a frustrated mom to be able to clean vomit off the armrests?) Also make the cupholder removal easier. 2. Color code the backrest connection release. Bought three of these booster seats (2 Lilac and 1 Drift) to replace our heavy convertible car seats now that our twins are eight years old and ready for more of a big kid car seat. 2 seats are for main car when transporting both and 1 seat for the spare car when just transporting one kid. These are easy to put together and install. They are light weight too so transferring from one car to another will be a cinch. The kids seemed to like them and say they are comfortable. I read a review in which someone used the packing material to pad the seat more. I did the same with the thicker foam padding in the box. I cut to size and inserted between the seat and the cover. It helps tremendously with the comfort. Just took the kids on 9+ hour car trip without any complaints. The only complaint I have is now I have to help buckle my kids in. It's too difficult for them to get the seat belt around them and into the fastener. Other than that, they seem to be a great transition seat. My children are narrow framed so they fit easily within the seat. I can foresee if a child is larger boned, he or she may not find these seats comfortable so check the width before buying. ... show more

It was time to upgrade our child from a 5 point harness to a booster seat. After reading various reviews, I purchased this one, and I am thrilled with the purchase. Installation was easy with the latch system. It fit well in our Kia Sedona, and the ability to adjust it to the height of my child was fabulous. Only con is that my child isn’t quite able to reach over the arm rest to buckle herself in, but she is able to unbuckle herself easily. We had to get her a big seat after she outgrew her 5 point harness and I’m obsessive over car seat safety. This one had great reviews, and i love that it came with the LATCH attachments. She said it’s well padded and the seatbelt holder works great!

    • Sleek and comfortable booster

This booster is super easy to put together, it took maybe 5 mins. I love the latch function so it’s not a projectile in the car when not in use and it seems like it’s comfortable. Depending on your car, it can be a little awkward to get the latch to engage because the straps are so short.
