My daughter specifically asked for this for her 12th birthday. She loves it but there was some trial and error in the beginning before the chia started to grow. They would slide off every day and she'd have to put them back on. I love my bob ross chia pet. My best advice to make sure he grows well is to keep him outside, water him a lot (it says in the instructions to water him once a day but i water/refill his head 4-6 times a day) and put a plastic bag over him at night.
