I loved the Chi 2" hair iron when they had it. It was the only one that worked for me. Now 1.5 is the widest I can get which takes longer with my hair. In fact, I tried a babliss one first before buying this one to get the 2" but it did not clamp down hard enough on my hair. The chi does when you apply pressure which requires less heat and straightens your hair faster. Also my old 2" had a digital temperature control. This has a roller which keeps getting bumped to not hot enough or too hot. These things were disappointing because usually new models are improved and these are NOT, but still best I can find out there. So loses one star for "easy to use" because plates are not 2" and loses one star for temperature control because it does not stay put (and harder to find what might be 350). Please, Chi, bring these feature options back and become the only 5-star hair iron again! ... show more

This item was purchased for my daughter. She has very little time to get ready for her teaching job with 3 little boys running around getting them ready for school. Pre-K, 1st grade, and 5th grade. Yes, a handful. She uses this at night before bed and her hair is STILL straight in the morning! She has baby fine hair so if you have fine hair, you understand that the slightest turn at night on a pillow could be the finest of abstract hair art in the morning. She loves this item and I would recommend it to everyone that has that fine hair issue and is looking for a straightener to do the job. ... show more
