Our Tire Shine does not contain harmful Prop 65 Chemicals, and it is 100% mixed, bottled, and packaged in the USA by hard working Americans. All of these factors make our prices higher, but ensures the highest quality control and safety for the user. How long does it last and will the rain wash it away? This is not a permanent product. If applied correctly, it will last a very long time in normal conditions and not be gone after one rainfall. Make sure to apply to a clean tire by using a stiff bristle brush to clean and remove all old dressings. Is this oil, petroleum, silicone, solvent or water-based? The answer is, none of the above! I decided to try this after reading other reviews. I was not disappointed. As a senior who takes care of his autos, I prefer no-fuss-no-muss auto detailing. I've tried a variety of tire shine products over the years. This one is as easy to apply and clean-up than more popular brands. There's a couple of options for applying it - spray it on the tire directly for a glossy finish, or apply it with the applicator for a matte finish. This stuff works, it just works. I have tried quite a few of these type products from different vendors with varying success but this stuff? Surprising to say the least. Most of these type products are petroleum based/oily, messy, etc., but I was surprised at the ease of application, little to no need to wipe it down (depending on the sheen you desire) and the results were fairly quick.
