Description

For home detailers moving into paint correction and professional detailers upgrading their machine, the choice of polisher determines what correction work is possible. Underpowered polishers bog down on heavy cutting compounds and leave correction work incomplete. Chemical Guys TORQ 10FX car buffer polisher for car detailing delivers the versatile middle ground with a 700W motor driving an 8mm orbit - enough power to handle heavy correction work, controlled enough for users building their skills. The 8mm orbit hits the middle ground experienced detailers recommend - efficient enough to complete heavy correction in reasonable time, safe enough that beginners are less likely to damage paint while learning. The 700W motor drives heavy cutting compounds with aggressive Hex-Logic or Quantum cutting pads without bogging down on vertical panels. The digital speed control with onboard display shows exact speed settings rather than approximate dial marks, giving precise repeatability across sessions on different vehicles. Updated ergonomic grips and balanced weight distribution reduce arm fatigue on long correction sessions. Pair with the full Chemical Guys Hex-Logic and Quantum pad system in cutting, polishing, and finishing grades alongside V32, V36, and V38 polishes for the complete correction workflow from heavy defect removal to show-ready gloss.

  • As Advertised.
Style: Polisher Only
I’ve used this just once, however it was a pleasure to use and reduced the grunt work of waxing and polishing a car. It’s still a good workout to use this, but it’s faster and the result is better. The unit is hefty but balanced and the pads have a really powerful velcro type grip. The control buttons are good although I did accidentally press the unit to off a couple of times during polishing. I selected this unit because it will polish beautifully and perform paint cutting if ever needed. I thought the low vibration was very good. ... show more

  • Nice, solid polisher.
Style: Polisher Only
I do some automotive paintwork, and like to restore faded paint back to life. I also 7polish boats. This is not my first or only polisher - but it's a very solid choice for light to medium work - since it's a DA (dual action) polisher. Save the heavy duty work for a true rotary polisher.

  • Works great but the speed control isn't great
Style: Polisher Only
Surprisingly good. I wish I had gotten it sooner. It’s much higher quality than I suspected. Includes spare motor brushes which is a nice touch. The result on my black vehicle are remarkable. The digital display is neat but a simple dial would be more straight forward. The speed control uses +- buttons. Revisit 4/2020 I've spent a few more hours with the tool since I last wrote and my rating remains at 4 stars. The machine still feels solid, still runs as advertised, and I'm happy with the results. As I stated before the speed control is its weakest feature. The tiny buttons are not only difficult to find while running the machine, but they don't even seem to be in the right location. Often the speed changes when I don't want it to, yet I still have to look where the buttons are when I do want to change speed. I also have to change my grip to find the buttons. It's also strange that the speeds go from 0,15,20,25,30,35,40 and stops. Why not to 9 or 10? It's not a show stopper and may even have a reason (Perhaps its max speed is the same as speed 4 on a more powerful machine? I figure the numbers are arbitrary and not RPMs x 10 [if it is they really should sell that]) The machine also seems to get warm. I have not seen a problem due to it getting warm and don't have many different polishers to compare it to. So it's probably fine.... and likely will be why it will eventually fail when it does. ... show more

  • Torq 10FX (hell yeah)
Style: Polisher Only
Got my Torq 10Fx in two days. Very excited. Was working on a black Ford Expedition and I noticed the bearings rattled right out the box. I still had to do my job so I used it. Had to do two passes of Chemical guys All in Polish to get my results. Look at the video, she cane out like a mirror. Called up Amazon and they switched out my polisher. Thank you Amazon. ... show more

  • I love this polisher
Style: Polisher Only
I love this polisher. Its my first polisher and the day I got it I began using it right away. It works great for removing scratches and bringing back a nice shine. Its nice that it comes with two backing plates as well. It very comfortable to hold for a long time and the vibration is minimal so in the middle of working with it you can take a hand off it for a second without losing control of it. ... show more

This buffer is amazing, easy to use. I’ve been using the wrong buffer all my life. I bought this specifically for a Porsche Judged competition and won first place.
