I tried to put this in my Xmaxx but after some fun driving the corners started coming up. The material of the cover itself is great but the adhesive is not the best. To fix, you can run down to Walmart and buy 3M dbl.sided tape and put that first the stick the velcro strips to that. Just remove all the plastic file from both sites of the tapes!

I purchased this for my new XMAXX 8S truck. Main reason was to inhibit as much dirt, grime and debris entering the electrics within the chassis. Mainly the ESC which has very small intake holes for the fan. I believe one common factor of the XMAXX's bad rap on the ESC is it getting dirty and clogged up hindering the amount of airflow from the fan and inevitably over heating and burning it up. The fitment of this dust cover is absolutely perfect. Be sure to wipe down the surfaces with alcohol where the Velcro will be sticking to the truck (preferably) while the truck is still new & clean. It was an easy install and with zippers on each side it makes for quick battery changes. I highly recommend this product. Has a high quality feel and appearance to it as well.

Pros: Great design. Fits snug. Durable. Great for winter only. Keeps large debris out. Cons: Velcro Adhesive is weak (you'll need industrial strength velcro). Will over heat your electronics in warm 70°F/21°C and above temps. In summer gets really hot to the point it produces static air, basically positively charges dust particals. That static will also interfere with your expensive ESCs and will cause further damages to all electronics. Buyer beware. Use in winter only. Cost me a Max5 ESC this summer. Replaced under my own expense.

I had trouble with adhesion of the tape. The thickness is good it keeps the dirt out. The chassis cover is a good value for the money. I'm thinking about buying one for my other trucks.

Put this on a brand new xmaxx. Used rubbing alcohol to remove any oils etc first. ALL the Velcro came off the first time i remove the mesh. Charge a bit more and ship out industrial strength velcro so people dont have to spend another hour and more $$ doing this all over. Garbage!!
