I have been searching for an eyeliner that is easy to apply and and lasts all day. So many eyeliner pencils are very difficult to apply and you practically have to dig into your eyelid to get any color. Then many eyeliners disappear within the hour. This eyeliner is incredible!! You barely have to touch your eyelid and the color is right there. As a senior citizen I don't want to have to tug at the area around my eyes so this is wonderful! A ordered the sapphire blue and it is not too bright but rather a beautiful, color-rich dark blue. And it lasts all day. Its beyond perfect! I highly recommend this luxury-level product!

I am having a hard time with the number of stars I want to give this eyeliner because it is a really good product. That said, the price at the time of this review is $32 and it just seems to not live completely up to the price tag. The amazing thing about the eyeliner is how smooth and easily it applies. No force needed at all. You can barely touch it to your skin and pigment will appear. It applies VERY smoothly with no skips or crumbs. You can use the stubby sponge base to make a smokey eye, very quick and conveniently. I like that the color I got, "Peacock" is not something I have ever tried before. It's not a bold color, just a deep grayish teal. Weirdly, it seems to match my eye color (dark blue). I'm not sure how I feel about that. I find that a contrasting shade is actually better for me. I somehow imagine this color being good on dark eyes and darker complexion as opposed to my own very light olive skin complexion. But that is only my opinion. I am not taking off any stars for the color as that is subjective. The reason for the 4 stars, and not 5, is I do not find the formula to be long-wearing as advertised. One of my eyes is more hooded than the other and the eyeliner, when used on the top, disappears in a few hours. So I get one made-up eye and one that looks worn out. It also does not stay for long on the lower lash line, definitely not the full 28 hours as advertised, except for maybe some residue right at the edge of the eyelid opening. But, I also use heavy moisturizer around my eyes which could be causing the eyeliner to dissapate. This eyeliner sharpens up with a regular sharpener. It comes pre-sharpened to a blunt-ish tip. I am not sure you would be able to sharpen to a fine tip due to the soft formula. I have not the need to sharpen it yet but will update the review if my expectations are not met. So, depending on your eye/lid shape, skin oiliness and/or skincare routine, this eyeliner may or may not be for you. I think the fact you can get such unique colors to choose from is a good reason to consider this somewhat pricey eyeliner.

This is an absolutely gorgeous formula and color. It glides on smooth as butter, and blends easily into a soft smoky look. Once it sets, it doesn't budge or smudge. I have heavily hooded and oily eyelids, so it's rare that a product can last long on my lids before settling into my eyelid crease and disappearing. But this lasted me all day, without primer. The color is also gorgeous. I got the Sapphire Nights and a rich, dark smoky blue that leans black. It's a subtle elegant twist on your standard black. It had the very slightest of shimmer, but it is not noticeable as 'sparkly' at all - instead it just adds a bit of depth and enhances the eyes. Suffice it to say, I'm a big fan, and I already have other colors on my wishlist! It may be a bit pricey but it's absolutely worth it for the gorgeous formula.

I didn’t have any issues with this liner wearing, fading, smearing, transferring, etc during the day. Once it sets down, it doesn’t move. You do have a little bit of time to work with it if you want to blend it out or use the smudger on the other end of the pencil. I would say that this is water resistant. If you get your eye area wet and rub your eyes with will transfer and smear but if you get your eye area wet, normal blinking doesn’t transfer it if that makes any sense. I have very watery eyes and this was really nice as long as I didn’t wipe my eyes when they were wet. This is a very soft pencil and I don’t love how it sharpened because you have to be slightly careful and I don’t have time for that. The green shade is somewhat shimmery but not nearly as much as the photos show and that shimmer doesn’t really read on the eye. This is a prestige tier brand so it’s going to have a higher price than something in the drugstore. I think that this outperformed my drugstore liner so for me it’s a good value and this is something that I would order again. For me, it takes awhile to use up an entire eyeliner pencil so it works out to be a good value. If you’re someone on a budget who goes through a pencil every two weeks, this might not be for you. It’s always tricky to assess value with prestige and higher tier cosmetics because they aren’t a necessity and people have very different ideas about performance and price point.
