    • Honest but Harsh: Did Not Work and Quality Control Issues
Unfortunately, this charger did not work at all. I followed the instructions, using a power source with 5V 1A or higher as required. The base lit up, and the indicator light turned blue to show standby mode, but connecting the USB-C to the headset did not initiate charging. The indicator light stayed blue instead of turning orange. I reinstalled the charging panel, but it still didn’t work. After that, I didn’t even feel like testing it with the controllers. Additionally, the manual had many typos, which raised concerns about the product’s quality control. While it’s possible I received a defective unit, this is not a risk I would want other people to take, especially if it’s meant as a gift for an important occasion.     • No Charging Pins for the Headset
It looks nice. Lights work. Indicates whether or not it's charging. Charges fine--not super fast. You can use it to store/hold your Quest 3, but there are no charging pins for the headset, so you'll have to use the built-in charging cable. The controller charging is nice (as long as you don't have third-party handle grips). Unfortunately, it is not compatible with any of the third-party handle grips. ... show more

I had a different dock for my Quest 3s which was a pain because the flexible visor charger wasn't long enough to reach a headstrap battery extension. So, I figured this would be an upgrade. It comes with a couple of hand controller plate replacements to allow charging of the rechargable batteries inside ( supplied ). The design of these is pretty bad, to be honest. They've used a USB C rechargeable AA, stuck a USBC 'universal' nub in it, then designed the controller cover to interface with it. It's very *very* fiddly to get working, and you have to take quite some care in aligning the cover with the nub in order to get a good contact. That said, once done it's secure, and seems to work fine, with the benefit that when the battery *does* die you could possibly change it out for another, as long as the charge port lines up correctly. I've seen others where they use a contact strip one the battery housing itself which is *way* better fitting, but means you've got a harder replacement later on. The stand itself is sturdy seeming ABS type plastic with a support strut ontop to rest the headset against. The charging cable is a regular USBC and does indeed have some length, reaching around the back to plug into a headset extended battery if you have one. All my charging ports worked fine, they light up red when charging, blue when done.. And the 'breathing led strip' along the bottom is, I guess, a feature some might like. It's not functional though - it doesn't tell you the charging status, just lights up and pulses various colours. All in all it's a worthy replacement for my old stand. But the hand-controller battery awkwardness lets it down. The instructions are fairly worthless and I can imagine that after a couple of inexperienced attempts to clip them in, they'll easily break. So, 4/5 - once setup it's good, but beware the awkward bits. ... show more

This is supposed to be for either Meta Quest 3a/3 it does not hold the 3. The battery part works great but because it does not hold my mask this charging base does not work for me.

This is a great stand for the vr. Easy to use. It comes with rechargeable batteries for the remotes. It also looks really nice.
