I have magnetic mounts every around the house, on my rowing machine, exercise bike, desk, bedside... I wanted to add a dual magnetic mount. I ordered this awesome, compact mount on amazon, arrived quickly in avery nice packaging. Out of the box I received the mount, a Blink camera adapter, metal plate, drywall anchor and a single screw. Mount itself made out of a solid, metal or metal like material, magnets at the bottom of the mount is very strong, I attached my magsafe.magnetic phone mount to the top side via 1/4 screw. It hold my iPhones, smaller Android tablets without any issues. Magnets on the mount is not strong enough to carry a DSLR camera or larger tablets. I use this to connect to the metal parts of my vehicle, if I am learning how to fix things on my car via online videos, or connect it to our fridge, oven etc. if I have to follow a recipe, or etc. It also gives me very unique angles for video creation, at birthdays, or partys, etc. All in all this is a great mount and I recommend it. ... show more

    • Strong Magnetic Mount for a Good Price
This dual joint magnetic mount is well made, versatile, and a great value. The magnets are strong but are covered in a nice protective skin to allow easy and safe installation and removable. I really like the dual ball joints which allow for easy and stable adjustment. I do not have a Blink camera, so I am not sure if the included adapter works or not. But the 1/4" threaded screw mount works perfectly with any standard 1/4" screw mounted item. I personally use this with my Insta360 GO 3 as it makes the pivot mount even more versatile using the dual joint adjustments. ... show more

Camera compatibility here goes for more than just the mount type. I now notice most of the recommended cameras weigh around 6oz which feels about right for the size and strength of this unit's magnet base. My camera weighs 12 oz and I was able to get it to stick to some surfaces but others like my fridge it would fall before I took my hand off the device, so I can't mount it to any vertical surface with that camera or else it doesn't hold. I'll likely use this as a general purpose mount for a small LED fill light, GoPro on a static surface (not a vehicle), or similar use. The base measures 1.5" and is rubber coated which is nice for not marring the metal surface. I pulled the rubber base of with a little effort and the magnets were loose with cutouts in the rubber to hold them in place (no glue) and were a little tricky to align back up to put the rubber cover back on. My thought was that the thickness of the rubber may have something to do with the magnetic adhesion being a little weak. It doesn't look like it could be fixed very easily unless you have better magnets to replace these with (not worth it at this price). I think if the base had been 2" and had more magnets it would have met my expectations and gotten 5 stars. ... show more

For under 10, it’s a good value. Magnet base consists of 4 neodymium magnets surrounded by a silicone mold, so it shouldn’t slip around under weight. It’ll hold most items that use 1/4-20 threads, so it’s useful for holding little camera lights and stuff. The strength of the magnet is adequate for the task it was designed for, but I do wish they were a little stronger for peace of mind. The ball clamp style arm is made of plastic, but it doesn’t really need to be metal for what it’s designed for. ... show more

I do a lot of photography and video work and I am always looking for mounts. At this price point I wasn't really expecting a lot but when it arrived, I have to say that I was more than impressed. First of all, the magnet is very powerful as you can see from the last two photographs. I decided to test it using a mirrorless Olympus with a basic lens and then placed it hanging upside down from my desk frame. As you can see it holds in place just fine which is quite impressive considering the amount of weight relative to the size of the mount. They included a metal plate with a screw so that if you want to mount this somewhere you can do that as well. Overall, I am fairly confident in saying that I doubt you will find a better magnetic camera mount, especially when you factor in the price. I have no problem recommending it to people considering purchasing it. ... show more

Happy to recommended this 360 Dual Joint Magnetic Camera Mount from ChargerCity. The unit itself is small - making it easy to take with me wherever I expect to use to it. The camera mount can hold a spring loaded cellphone unit as well. It works very well for my rechargeable security camera's as I move some around for my pets, when away from home. Magnet strength is adequate for my needs (cellphone, security cameras, portable selfie lights, etc.,..). The design is simple and the build quality is ok. This is actually a smaller mount than I thought it would be; that works in its favor for what I'm using it for (a small camera light). Despite the size it's not weak and clamps down easily and holds weight in place without drifting, and the magnet is very strong; not amazingly but more than strong enough to hold. Very useful for small cameras or lights or whatever else takes a standard tripod screw. ... show more

You could use this mount for the stated purpose of attaching a video cam/motion detector like Ring Cam to the threading. Sure. But it's simply a 1/4" threading there that you can attach just about anything... like another magnetic mount plate, so both sides can stay on metal surfaces. ...like a refrigerator, and a phone/case with magnet-compatible back. Case in point, the photo included, holding my huge and heavy iPhone 13 Pro Max by the lower area, literally perpendicular to the floor.
