Features

  • 100% Natural Soil Amendment for Plants - Plantonix Char Bliss is an organic soil conditioner thats been ethically harvested from wood and tree trimmings. Biochar provides a number of benefits for indoor plants and outdoor plants, such as enhanced nutrient availability, soil fertility, and water retention, all while promoting carbon sequestration.
  • Supports Carbon Sequestration - Using bio charcoal removes carbon from the atmosphere and returns it back to the soil, where it can continue benefiting the Earth for hundreds of years. Bio charcoal for garden soil is an effective tool for mitigating the effects of climate change and promoting more sustainable gardening practices.
  • Amazing Water Retention - Thanks to its porous structure, bulk biochar traps moisture in the soil, so you can rest assured knowing your plants are staying happy and hydrated. Using wood chips for garden soil is perfect for building drought tolerance and reducing the need for frequent watering, helping you save more water.
  • Improves Soil Structure & Aeration - Biochar loosens compacted soil for better soil aeration and porosity, making it easier for roots to penetrate. With no extra additives or synthetic ingredients, Char Bliss is an ideal soil amendment for mixing with garden soil, garden pots, lawns, turf, garden containers, garden terraces, and potted plants.

  • Better Than Expected
Size: 24 Quarts
This charcoal soil enhancer was a nice surprise. It is finely ground and made an immediate difference as I amended soil in my garden. I was very pleased with this product and will definitely use it in fall and spring planting. The only problem I faced was that the package size that I chose didn't last long! Next time I will order the cubic foot size. I recommend this product without reservation. I have never used charcoal in my garden before and am so pleased that I took a chance on this great product. ... show more

  • Good for making seed starting mix and cactus mixes
Size: 1 Cubic Ft
I've used this twice now. My wife makes our seed starting mix from about 4 parts coconut coir, 4 parts our native soil, 1 part this biochar, and a little bit of Down to Earth Fish Bone Meal. The fish bone meal is for phosphorus more than nitrogen, and works wonders in combo with the biochar and other things. We live in the desert SW, and use our native soil, un-sterilized, so that the plants have access to naturally occurring soil organisms. It's worked excellent for the past few years. ... show more

  • It’s carbon
Size: 1 Cubic Ft
Not a lot to review, its charcoal that microbes love to take residence in. Biochar is great way to sequester carbon.

  • So far so good
Size: 8 Quarts
Used in my super soil mix and to replenish some old used soil. Seems to be doing the job so far.

  • It's definitely charred!
Size: 24 Quarts
I don't have enough of a char fetish to geek out on its characteristics, Sorry to disappoint. Apparently I could not wait for Santa to put coal in my stocking! Besides that, it did arrive on time. I will revise this if I hear any complaints from my plants.

  • Great 1/16th - 1/8th in Biochar
Size: 8 Quarts
This is a great soil amendment for anyone using compost teas. This biochar is quite fine in texture and made from softwoods. I charged mine in compost tea I had already brewed for 24 hours. I simply added the biochar to a plastic tote and added my compost tea and airstone to it. I allowed it to soak for about 24 hours and the biochar had soaked up enough liquid to make it sink. When the biochar no longer floats, you know it's charged. From there I top dressed some of my containers with it and mixed it in as deep as the roots would allow. The rest I mixed into a new batch of soil for a nice even distribution. It greatly improved the texture and water absorbing capacity of the soil. Would definitely buy again. ... show more

  • Small flakes rather than the big chunks
Size: 8 Quarts
Smaller flakes make it easy to use in regular potting soils or with smaller bark for orchids. I like it a lot and you get a lot in a small package. It's vacuum sealed, so it doesnt take up a lot of room, but goes a long way. I feel it was well worth the price and I will be buying it again and again. What I usually find is bigger chunks that are meant for orchids or maybe something else. This one is a great size for soil amendment. I sprinkle a bit on top of all my potted plants periodically. It also works great as a soil dressing. Apply about 1/4 inch on top for an attractive topper instead of seeing soil. ... show more
