My son is about 5’6” and 185 lbs with a lineman build. The pants are perfect but the belt is way too short. I’m going to look for a longer belt to put on these. Update* After two seasons the thigh pad pocket stitching has come undone. Not a big deal but a bit of a nuisance when the pad slips out. As a player, I’m not picky about flashy gear—but I do care about comfort, protection, and durability. These Champro Safety Practice Pants check all the boxes for what I need during tough practices. What I Like: Built-in Pads – These pants come fully padded, so I don’t have to waste time inserting or adjusting pads. They cover the essentials—hips, thighs, knees, and tailbone—and they stay in place during drills. Tough Material – The fabric holds up through contact, turf, and washing machines. I’ve been sliding, tackling, and pushing sleds, and they still look and feel solid. Good Fit – The built-in belt makes it easy to adjust, and once they’re on, they don’t slide or sag. They feel secure but still let me move freely. What to Know: They’re true to size for me, but if you’re in between sizes or wear compression gear underneath, maybe size up. These are practice pants—not the most breathable, but they’re built for durability, not fashion. They’re meant to take hits, and they do. Bottom Line: These are no-nonsense, all-purpose football practice pants.
