This is the second time I purchased these for my kids birthday party picnic. It's the perfect game for groups of kids or adults. We formed a circle and passed the ball to each other, trying to surprise the catcher. For kids as young as 3, or older adults throwing under handed and standing close together was effective for play. For older kids and more athletic adults try throwing overhead. Very sturdy plastic that stands up to abuse. The white end caps of the handles do pop off some of the catchers, but it doesn't affect the functionality of the catcher. Super deal at this price. Everyone always ends up laughing and having a great time with these. At the end of our party, we gave them out as party favors and everyone was glad to get a set. As well as using the balls, you can use WATER BALLOONS for some summertime/wet fun. Water balloon games are a 4th of July tradition for our family so can't wait to use these this year, too! I volunteer with a group of students in an after school release program. That was the reason for the purchase. These scoops worked perfect and the kids loved it. I could easily pair them up by color and we had competitions. These are awesome!! I bought a set to have at my house for summertime for our family of five. I love that there are a few extra sets for when we have visitors over to play and hang out. My 2 1/2 year-old twins and 4-year old are learning hand-eye coordination with these. The plastic they are made of is thick and sturdy. I can see these lasting a long time. It's a fun activity that'll also give you some exercise. All in all, it's a huge bargain for what you get for the price. I got these for elementary school recess. These are by far the favorite new toys! I did have to order another set of just whiffle balls, because the balls kept rolling down a gutter - lesson learned! Love the variety of colors, and with six sets, that's enough for 12 kids to play, so little fighting over them. I had previously bought a couple sets of this style of toy at Target last year in their Dollar Spot for $5. We were happy with them, the kids had fun, but eventually they cracked and broke. I ordered these and they are made of a much sturdier plastic than the Target ones.
