I wanted a white monitor but didn’t want to paint mine. I saw someone use this tape and decided to try it. It works so well and I would highly recommend it for this. My monitor is curved and it still worked out just fine. I used the 2inch tape I believe and it covered the edges enough to where I can’t see the black anymore. I also used some to wrap the wires, that part doesn’t look the best but that’s probably user error haha ... show more

Think of this as electrical tape for mats! It has exactly the same feel characteristis as electrical tape, except it's much wide. I like how it's stretchy, so that it'll conform to the texturing on my EVA foam tile. I don't expect this tape to prevent the tiles from being torn apart (even though I've tape the tiles together on both sides), -- the EVA foam is very difficult for any adhesive to stick to -- but it works to improve the aesthetics of the mat and reduce the risk of a trip hazard caused by unevenness across tile boundaries. My father-in-law is staying with us and has some trouble with his eyesight. My wife was concerned that he could fall down the (hardwood) stairs in the morning due to low visibility, so she put some random tape on the floor to mark the bottom of the steps. The tape turned out to be mounting tape for picture frames and was absolutely terrible to remove from the floor. After that, I started looking for a tape meant for floors that wouldn't damage hardwood, and this fit perfectly. (Basketball courts! Why didn't I think of that before!) The yellow color has decent visibility (though something reflective might be better). But better is the fact that it is easy to put down and to take off again. The adhesion is great so far -- it's been a couple months with no sign of peeling, sliding, or tearing. The backing is rubbery, so I'm pretty confident that when it does eventually fail I'll be able to peel it off easily and replace it. I only needed to use about six feet to mark both the top and bottom of the stairs, so the roll will last a long time. And it's pretty inexpensive compared to some other specialty floor tapes I've seen on here. So, I know I have kind of an unusual use case, but this tape has worked really well so far. ... show more
