  • Perfect for bleachers
Color: Black
This is great if you watch a lot of ballgames and sit on bleachers. I bought for my MIL for Christmas and she loves it. Easy to carry on back to the games. Great support and easy to straighten back out to carry. Make sure you keep instructions for how to straighten the first time as it was a little tricky. These are well worth the purchase if you sit on bleachers often. ... show more

  • Must have for Swim Meets, but welds are not strong
Color: Black
Update 11/27/2022 Finally had a chance to inspect the broken welds on one of our chairs. See attached pictures looks like the weld did not correctly bond to the crossmember resulting it in easily coming apart with minimal pressure. My other chair has been solid with no issues for well over a year. It's just something to take into account when you buy one of these. When I have time I'm going to re-weld the weak points though with the way these are assembled taking apart the padding is difficult. The zipper seems to be sewn around the broken crossmember meaning you have to completely take apart the zipper to get the cover off so you can do a good welf job. Original review The reviews on Amazon almost make you want to give up. Every product I considered had plenty of negative reviews that pretty much eliminated any confidence I had in executing a purchase. I finally settled on this one, and hoped things worked out. I was assuming the worst. Uncomfortable, poor quality, ext.. What I found was an excellent chair that got the job done. The job was enduring a swim meet from 6:30am til 1:00pm. The Swim Viewing area's bleachers I can only describe as engineered for maximum discomfort. I am sure the CIA took part in engineering them to help extract state secrets from our enemies. These chairs eliminated that discomfort. These worked perfectly. They provide a good amount of padding, and the height of the arm rests are decent. They fold flat making them easy to transport. The width of the seat was good. I am 6' 4" and 215 lbs. 34" waist. The width was slightly snug but comfortable. If you have wide hips or are heavier these might be a tight fit. The padding was decent but could have been thicker. The other negative was padding did insulate you a bit, causing your back and butt to get a little hot. The reclining feature worked great, and held up nicely. In the end I was very happy with my purchase, and would recommend these to others. Update 10-15-22 I've now had these chairs for well over 6 months I take them to swim meets and a swim practices. They've endured over a dozen swim meets and well over 150 swim practices. My father-in-law was visiting us from out of town I'm loaned him one of our extra chairs it worked great for him. However after he left town the chair he used I noticed the top part the weld had broken. He's not a very big man I'd say he's about 6 ft and 210 lb. He must have been sitting on it just the wrong way to break the welds on the top part. I partially took it apart to inspect the damage it appears all the welds are just simple spot welds. Should be an easy repair when I have the time. Only thing I'll say about these chairs is they do get a bit warm if you're in a hot swimming pool area it's going to feel like you have a heating blanket on your back and butt. Update 11/25/2022 Its been over a year, and the chair had endured well over 300 practices and dozens of swim meets. Its still holding up, no issues. I haven't had time to repair our other chair that my father-in-law broke. But I confidently recommend this to other parents that are having to endure their kids practices and competitions. ... show more

  • Very nice seat. Will be ordering another. Have concerns?...read on
Color: Black
I have some spinal problems and find this seat very comfortable and sturdy. It gives me the desired support. The arm rests are a real nice option and you can use them or leave them down so you are not stuck with them if they will be in the way. Your body weight holds it down and it really does work well without any kind of hook on the bottom. Now, to address some other buyers comments...1). The odor; yes, at the initial opening of the plastic bag, it has a horribly strong ammonia smell from the synthetic materials. I left it in the garage for a few days and the odor subsided so it's no longer an issue. 2). Width; some complain that it's too narrow. Really? Not for a person of normal size. If it fits you like a thong, perhaps you need to order a treadmill. I'm an athletic 5' 9"/170lbs and I find it just right. If you are a 'wide glide', you can always leave the armrests down. 3). Too big when flat and wearing like a backpack. What is this, the three little bears? First it's too small, then too big. Yeah, it's a bit large and I even chuckled when I opened the box and first saw it, but you can't have it both ways. If you want a seat that's large enough to be comfortable, then it's going to look big when flat. Get over it. People at events will realize the situation and aren't going to look at you like you are a freak. They will probably look at you with envy and wish they had such a comfortable seat to sit on. 4). Durability; Some complained about it breaking and not latching. Well, I'm betting those people didn't read the folding instructions that are sewn onto the seat bottom and just forced the seat until they broke it. I find it to feel quite solid and it works perfectly when you follow the instructions. Bottom line...I'm very happy with it and after sitting in it, my girlfriend wants one too so I'm going to order a second seat. I do have one complaint: it's not made in the USA. I prefer to support US jobs. ***UPDATE: After sitting in the chair for about 4 hours at a recent sprint car race, I find the chair to be very, VERY comfortable and it greatly enhanced my event enjoyment as I didn't have a backache to deal with. It dawned on me that the best feature on this chair is the armrests. As you sit in it and prop your elbows on the armrests (which are quite comfortable to use) this helps to keep your posture correct and prevent you from slumping, hence preventing the backache. I will never again get a stadium chair without armrests. This is the key feature for comfort!!! The only issue I've had is that the nylon straps for wearing it on your back are not gripped well by the plastic buckles and the straps have come undone a few times, once causing the chair to fall to the ground while walking. The buckle just doesn't bite into/hold enough tension on the webbing to secure it. Frustrating, but I will easily fix that with 2 safety pins, or perhaps putting snaps or Velcro on the straps to hold them in place. Even with this minor annoyance, I have no regrets over buying this chair and am anxious for the second one to arrive. ... show more
