Description

The Champion Power Equipment 100427 12,000-lb. Truck/SUV Synthetic Rope Winch Kit is designed for powerful and reliable winching with your truck or SUV. With a rated line pull of 12,000 pounds, this winch installs quickly with our Speed Mount 2-inch hitch adapter, which is designed for quick and easy mounting, transportation and storage. Mount this winch on your truck or SUV with the included mounting adapter to quickly harness the strength of its 6.0HP (12V DC) series wound motor. The convenient handles are 3-position adjustable, plus they serve as side guards to protect your winch. With a gear reduction ratio of 216:1, the winch boasts a line speed of 2.3 feet per minute with a full load, and 15.7 feet per minute with no load. Made from hi-tech polyethylene, the high flexibility and low weight of synthetic rope prevent kinking, plus it won’t fray or curl. It also stores less kinetic energy and will not recoil with as much force as steel, and if it breaks, it can be repaired in the field, plus it floats. Since it’s free of wire splinters or burrs, there’s less chance of injury. Designed with a stainless steel thimble and protective sleeve, the 85-foot by 11/32-inch synthetic winch rope has a minimum break strength of 15,000 pounds and is guided onto the 2.5 by 8.8-inch drum through the fairlead. Featuring a black anodized finish, the lightweight aluminum hawse fairlead is precisely machined to maximize the life of the rope. The efficient three-stage planetary gear, braking system and free spooling clutch along with the hand-held quick-connect remote control and 12-foot cable offer excellent control while winching. The included snatch block can be used to increase winching power or to aid in angled pulls. In the box, you’ll also receive a handy strap, 6-foot battery lead cables and a fitted weather-resistant neoprene cover.     • Mounting plate holes incorrect
Haven't used much yet, seems to work. Problem was when installing winch to hitch mounting plate, holes did not align. Had to drill out all holes on hitch oversize and then elongate some of them plate to make it fit.

This winch was mounted to a 10K car trailer, we have hauled 6 cars/trucks that had to be winched on. This winch will drag your step dads girlfriend out from behind the closet. I mean this thing does not give a fk about what you hook it too press the button and go. Really satisfied with it. Also like the small cover that comes with the winch. ... show more

Winch does not mate with hitch adapter. Champion had no remedy for dilemma.

    • Late on delivery but great product
Got the 12,000 lb with the quick attachment showed up two days late but love the product, haven't hooked anything it wouldn't pull yet still trying. It's didn't come with the four bolts and nuts to lock the handles in witch is an option but I had some laying around.

    • Portable Tuff Winch - Without Wireless Remote.
12,000-lb winch mounted on portable bracket, which can be operated from Front or Rear hitches. Another advantage is "Use and Store". It overs great performance without very loud noise. Unfortunately is does not equipped with Wireless Remote, Hand-held remote is provided.

Living in alaska and overall, its a good winch. There are some things that should be changed. Pros: Good Quality line. Very robust. Good quality wire battery cable/connectors. Very strong and reliable. Cons: Need stronger bolts to attach to carrier. Need longer wire battery cable for attaching to rear of vehicle. I also bought a separate wire cable set to run to the end of the truck. If your looking for a well priced/reliable winch, this is it. I would by again. ... show more

    • mounting holes dont line up
its looks great, but the holes dont line on the winch and the speed loader, the were off by at least a half a hole or little more.. have to drill them ( 4 ) out
