I love all of 2 Chick’s and a toolbelt’s paint. The colors are great. I only have to use one coat to achieve a good cover. The color looks like the jar. You know how some paint looks lighter or darker? You can see how it looks on lightly sanded untreated wood. It is exactly the same color! It makes choosing what I am going to put on my work much easier. This brand of paint is the first kind that I have ever used other than a white or cream (i.e. colors) that I did not mix myself. All I had to do was shake the container to make sure the paint was well mixed and then I applied it to my boxes. Always before I would pour some into another container and add different amounts of red or yellow or blue until I achieved the exact shade I was looking for. It was difficult to make sure I made enough for the size box I was making and to put it in a container I could seal to keep it fresh to reuse so I could continue matching the current project. It was nearly impossible to recreate some of the colors I created. With 2C&AT Paints, that is no longer an issue! Their palette is gorgeous to boot! My only negative is that I don’t have enough $ to buy at least 8 ounces of every color they offer. I need to refinish to chests of drawers for our bedroom, and my only problem is choosing which color to use. You won’t go wrong buying this paint! ... show more

I'm always looking to try new chalk paint options from different folks. Some to save money on, others for the color selections. Was excited to try this and love the color options. However, don't hand paint. Leaves serious brush strokes. Doesn't lay flat or self level. Used it on a project that I had sanded smooth and had 2 coats of primer that sanded between coats and did same with the paint and it still dried with brush marks through out. Had to sand back down to primer. Tried a second time and same results. Will try it through a spray rig see if that helps or use a foam brush. But was very disappointed overall performance so far. ... show more

Divine chalk paint. Smooth and creamy like a chocolate Grenache. Minimal brush lines. No need to sand between coats. Covers very well, lovely color. Will absolutely be purchasing other colors!

I just received this paint in the mail after waiting all week.. it has a giant clump inside that I have poked at and is unbreakable. This paint is completely useless. I have a project to complete in the next 3 days. I have actually bought this brand of paint before, didn't love it but gave it a pass as I was painting outside in cooler weather. Will never purchase again. Also a sticker on the bottom says 6/19. It's March 2020 so I'm assuming it is old? Either way, so disappointed. ... show more

This particular canister of paint was not sealed properly . It must of become damaged some how but it wasn’t visible from the outside unopened. The paint inside was a solid mass , As I did not have the chance to start on my project until just now I didn’t notice it when it arrived. The damage to the seal was not noticeable with the lid on at all. I just had to change what I meant to do with the project. My daughter is trying to hydrate it for me. ... show more

First time, And I have to say I am loving this paint so far. I ordered buttermilk and it is a Great creamy/slightly warm white while also seeming to have a touch of crisp grey tint as well... just like buttermilk. I love this white !! It glides on Very, very smoothly. Had to order more, I definitely underestimated the amount it would take even with primer I is taking a solid three coats. First coat straight out of the jar, as it is layered I have found if you dont spray/thin out the paint it Will skip on you leaving heavy texture, which is Awesome if that's is what your after. I will get back to you after I use it in my spray gun. I cant wait to try more. Btw, furniture restoration is my source of income. ... show more

I have to say, I’ve purchased a lot of chalk paint and this product is true to color and is easily applied without having the messy water drips and paint drying up so fast. It does take a little longer to dry but saves you time instead of struggling with the water bottle and other paints.
