This chain strap is for decoration. Despite the misleading photos, this will not work as a bag strap, unless it is used by a small child. The chain is just shy of 18 inches. The hardware is well constructed and heavy. The gold is a yellow-gold color. You can use the chain to hand-carry your bag if you would like.
