This is a solid fence stretcher that should last years and do the job well. It’s made with heavy steel and the welds are decent unlike a lot of these type products you see online. The finish is good and in use on a rural barbed wire/welded wire fence it worked really well, even when there was a lot of tension placed on it. No bending, no slipping, and no breaks. This appears to be a sturdy pipe with solid hooks welded to the pipe. This does not appear as though it would break when pulling a fence.

    • GREAT, BEEFY TOOL TO STRETCH FENCE!
I had one of these that I bought from one of the "big box" stores...but it broke about halfway through the project...and I returned it. A couple of the hooks broke off. This one puts the one I purchased earlier to shame. It's nicely finished and twice as beefy as the one I bought earlier...and it looks like this one won't break. When you use this tool, you hook it into the length of fence and then use a come-a-long to pull the slack out of the fence before you attach it to your posts...so if you're pulling a long section, there can be quite a bit of tension on this tool. That's probably why the other (cheaply made) tool broke. This is a good tool...beefy...strong...and, surprisingly, the same price as the one I bought that wasn't as good. This works for chain link or woven wire fencing...any metal fencing that comes in a roll... There are other ways to stretch fence without this tool...but they're a pain in the rear. This fence stretcher tool seems to be well made and feels heavy duty. Good design and easy to work with except the fact that it is indeed heavy. No issues so far so I will be recommending it.

    • Prefect for pulling stock fence tight.
This is way easier than my old pieces of u-channel that I had to bolt together. Hook on to your stock fence and throw the come along on the other side and pull tight. Easy easy. Great product and feels very sturdy definitely recommend if you need to do very much fencing.

This guy has some strength to it! Using this to put up some new fencing and it's nice to not have to try to manually pull this. The hooks are well spaced and no notically high / low prongs on them
