I bought this as a non-expensive pair of ski gloves, for my first time skikng trip. Did the job well, and kept my hands warm, although after a couple hours, it kind of started getting moist inside the gloves which I didn't like. Slightly difficult to maneuver wearing this as well. These gloves are amazing. I love the feeling of the inside they are so comfortable. It is not extremely cold here yet. I can't wait to use them when shoveling the snow or playing in the snow with the kids. Now I know that my hands will not be freezing in the first couple of minutes outside playing in the snow. Gave these to my teen daughter, hoping they would keep her hands warm and dry when other gloves we've bought in local stores never did. First use, after a big snowstorm, she went out to build a snowman. She played for almost 4 hours. Her hands stayed warm and dry! She says her hands felt the tiniest bit damp, but that was probably because of sweat. She removed the gloves and squeezed them... the outer layer had absorbed enough water that she squeezed drops out! But the inside stayed dry! My son was so impressed that he borrowed them to go back out and shovel the driveway, which of course requires more snowballs, snow play, etc with whoever else is out. It was after dark by then and his hands stayed warm and dry too! Guess what we ordered a second pair of? Gloves for my son! After the gloves were wet, we rolled them in a bath towel to soak up the water in the outer layer, and put them where they could air dry. Ready for the next day of play! ... show more

Finally, gloves that are warm enough to keep the tips of his fingers warm, curved to hold the poles, and have a zipper for those hand warmers. Nice. The only thing missing is an inner cuff, and a wrist strap so you can remove them on the chairlift. On the up side, they fit over his coat's wrist cuff....
