So gentle, with no burning or peeling. I use this when I get zits, not as a preventative measure. It calms them down and helps them resolve without a lot of redness, swelling, or scarring. A keeper!

    • Great, Cost effective alternative to ORIGINS Spot Remover
I used to swear by Origins Spot Remover. Back when the price was $11.00 per tiny bottle, it was still worth it to me. Now that the price has jumped to $20 I wanted an alternative. I like the Cetaphil brand in general, and was confident they would have a good product. I am very pleased. I use this for emerging blemishes, and a Q-Tip sized dot right on the head does the trick. It is gentle and effective. I cannot use any of the benzoyl peroxide products - they simply rip my skin up. For me this is a fast, gentle, effective, skin-firendly way to zap zits! ... show more

You only need a little bit. This definitely helped clear up some of my acne. There is no noticeable smell (however I may be a bad judge of this, since my sense of smell can be iffy), and a little goes a very long way when used with other products in this line.

i really like this serum! i have extremely sensitive skin that makes me typically avoid using BHAs, PHAs, and harsh actives, but this serum is great for me! it doesn't dry my skin out at all, and the salicylic acid is good for my acne. i only use this serum x2 a week, but it's so gentle that i could probably use it more. would recommend! ... show more
