These were so extremely easy to install and level. They look great on my wall and I am extremely happy with them. I have a difficult time installing floating shelves and making them level but I was able to install all 3 of these within about 10 minutes and they aren't uneven and they feel extremely sturdy. Product: Look great on our office space. The color is really nice. Hold a good amount of book. Installation: Product arrives with the 2 side pieces to every self not attached to the wood piece so you have to screw each side piece into the wood piece. There are not pre made holes so you might need a tool but honestly the wood piece is very cheap and easily punctured. Does come with a mini leveler which helps with the mounting. The shelves themselves are great, sturdy and instructions are clear. There are multiple ways to mount them, which is great if you have a specific idea in mind, or any space restrictions. One thing is when mounting with the anchors horizontally, you must be careful to not attach them to the wall to close or far from each other, as the wooden board will not fit correctly, but this is only an issue with one of the methods of mounting. Wish I could rate these higher. The overall design of these shelves are great, I love the versatility with how you can hang them (bookends, upright, floating). The problem is that it's kind of a double-edged sword. The wood doesn't come with pre-drilled holes to help guide you, so there's larger room for error when putting the pieces together. My biggest complaint however is the quality of the wood. All three pieces came with zero finish, or at least it FEELS like there's zero finish on them. They're all rough pieces of wood that don't feel sanded down at all, almost like balsa. The wood is probably this way to make it easier to install, all you need is a simple screwdriver to put everything together (you'll need a drill for putting it on the wall though). I also followed the instructions of another commenter (Honest Teej) because I was mounting into drywall. I opted to buy my own drywall anchors (I got the 15lb limit ones) and used those instead of the ones provided. I can confirm the instructions DO specify that plaster walls will not hold weight as well as wood or concrete so PLEASE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Thankfully, I got these shelves for knickknacks and plastic figures, so weight is mostly a non-issue for my case. All the same, I recommend at least getting the mounts that are appropriate for your walls rather than taking a gamble with the ones provided. All in all, after mounting one of the shelves I am happy with my purchase but to an extent. I wish that the wood of the shelves were higher quality for what you're paying (especially $40 at full price) but they still get the job done after some fiddling. ... show more
