The media could not be loaded. This is my first time replacing the alternator on my vehicle. I will assume you know, or at least have watched videos on, how to change/replace the alternator on your own vehicle. This alternator is 98% similar to that original one. However, the top hole, where the fastening bolt goes, is a bit off; about a quarter of an inch. I kind of thought this was NOT going to be an issue, but I tried it anyway. I could not get the engine belt tightened the way it was by the old alternator. I tried loosening & tightening it mm by mm. Either the engine belt did not make the alternator turn, or the alternator pulled it TOO tight, making it squeak. Advised by a friend of mine, who is a mechanic, I went to AutoZone and bought it there; obviously not THIS brand, but a different one. It was about another $100 a more expensive, but I got a $60 recycling credit. I ended spending about $260 (after said credit), but after seeing the results, it was completely worth it. That one worked like a charm! Both holding ends (top and bottom, where bolts are screwed in), lined up with original, replaced alternator. ... show more

Wanted to buy it so I could sell it and the alt broke again 1 day after Amazon return expired. Convenient. This is garbage. You aren’t saving money. Just buy a quality alt at your local auto parts. With lifetime warranty not thirty days through here. I ended up spending over 400$ (160$ for this garbage and 280$ for a quality alt plus a tow when this garbage left me stranded) ... show more
