  • Fantastic
These are way better than I was expecting, and seems to be KZs top of the line BT modules even though there are more expensive options. They sound great, battery life is awesome, and they are simple to use with clicky buttons for control rather than finicky touch sensor. The noise cancelation works - but it is hard to gage how strongly because the silicon nibs on my IEMs already block out significant noise as is, the transparency is a wonderful addiction however. Bluetooth connection was simple and stable - didn't even have to fight with button holding or trying to open and close case over and over and it never disconnected or had glitchy transmission rate at any time away from the phone itself. The only real concern I have about the product overall is the connector where the IEM attaches is not as tight as I expected so them falling off while moving around is worrisome but maybe it's not an issue due to how tight the IEMs themselves sit in my ears. Overall 5/5 and here's hoping they last a long time! ... show more

  • Pretty good
I really like it. The Bluetooth connectivity is fine. The noise cancellation feature. I had AirPod Pro twos and they worked way better for noise cancellation but I didn’t really care about that. I think the audio quality is better. The battery life is insane and they’re pretty comfortable functionality wise. I’d say they’re a little bulky, but it’s good. I think my biggest grape is that the adapter can separate from the IEM better than that it’s great and it only seems to separate when it’s rattling around in the case or putting in a pocket if it’s in your ear, it stays fine ... show more

  • This product easily earns five stars!
I’ve had this product only for a few days and will update my review accordingly after more time. That being said, my initial thought is major surprise that this product does not have a solid 4+ average review score on Amazon given my positive experience so far with this product. First, sound quality—with both of my KZ buds (mostly ZS10 pro 2) attached, they sound better than my wireless earbuds (APP2, etc.) even using AAC. Connected to my Walkman, the LDAC kicks in and sounds close to a wired connection in terms of depth and air. Fit—the hooks feel very secure. Based on the hooks themselves, you’re more likely to find your buds uncomfortable than the hooks. Battery—more time is required for full assessment but I’ve worn the hooks for 4+ hours at a time and not had any issues. I wish there was an easy way to check how much battery was remaining in each bud like you can with AirPods and Sony buds though. I charged the case once when I got it and haven’t had to charge it yet since. Fit and finish—the materials feel a little cheap. I am finding it’s not a fingerprint magnet like I anticipated which is good. The design of the case is sleek albeit a little large, but it makes sense given it has to hold the hooks + buds. That being said, there is too much room inside the bud compartment which causes them to knock around (I put a piece of bubble wrap in the case to prevent damage). The hinge mechanism feels very secure and does feel nice. The magnets work well to secure the buds Transparency mode—very good!! Better than the Sony wf1000xm5 somehow, but not as good as Apple’s buds or Max headphones. Still, so cool to add transparency mode to my IEMs. ANC—it barely does anything. It might take out 2-3 decibels if anything at all. Your mileage may vary, it may be my earbuds I’m using with them. Transparency is the big winner here All in all, I’m surprised these are not already a 5-star Amazon product but I am happy to give them five stars! I always wondered why anyone would use Bluetooth with IEMs until I learned about LDAC, and these are a great option. Make sure your device can use LDAC before you buy these if you’re looking to get the absolute best sound quality (so no apple devices unfortunately) ... show more

  • Do not buy: Poor durability & missing features
UPDATE: After a run one day, the right earhook completely stopped working. Oddly, it still said "powering on" when i take it out of the case, but no audio plays. I tried the process for resetting the earhooks mentioned in the manual, but instead of putting them into "reset" mode with red and blue indicator lights, they just turned off. I would not buy these if you plan to be in any situation where they will get any amount of sweat on them - walking in the heat, working out, running, etc. Despite the product description specifically mentioning that they are great for exercising, sweat will ruin them. Since they were outside the return window, i decided to break them apart and see if cleaning the PCB with isopropyl alcohol would work - it did. This means that the claim of these being "water resistant" is total baloney. ORIGINAL REVIEW: excellent audio quality. No complaints in terms of the ANC that others have mentioned; they are IEMs, I can barely hear people talking at full volume in the same room as me in the first place. The issue i have with my wired IEMs is that I can't hear what is going on around me, and these solve that issue. Audio quality with $30 IEMs easily exceeds the air pods pro 2's that these are replacing. Build quality seems solid. They are super comfortable and look great paired with a nice black IEM, I am using the KZ ZSN pros. My only frustrations are that you can't change the volume from the earphones themselves, and pairing new devices was not intuitive. I found that i had to turn bluetooth off on my iphone to be able to pair the headphones with my laptop. Once they have been paired initially though, it is no problem switching between the 2 devices or using both at the same time. I highly prefer the physical button over the capacitive touch used on most other headphones. the siri integration works perfectly. Call quality is excellent. Value for money is superior to pretty much any other "true wireless" option, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Downgrade from AZ09
I had the AZ09 wireless hooks for a good 2 years before replacing them with this AN01 due to their age and wear from heavy use. In nearly every single aspect, these have been a downgrade for a higher cost. I have gotten roughly 3 months of use out of these ear hooks, and despite regular cleaning of the contacts, 2 weeks ago the right earhook stopped charging, and as of today the left earhook has also stopped. Very unimpressive longevity. Bluetooth LDAC may serve as a higher quality connection, but these paired with KZ ZAS are so uncomfortably loud, sometimes even just at 5%, the bitrate is audibly reduced from such a low volume being used. ANC does not work, seriously it makes less of a difference than if you were to drape a napkin over your ear with the earbud in. The only meaningful upgrade from AZ09 at least is the transparency mode, with no adjustable volume and oftentimes terrible scratching noise if you happen to wear glasses. The charging case is evidently not very reliable as I am not the only one with intermittent then no charging coming from it. It is excruciatingly difficult to open the case sometimes with the lack of a bevel or tab to wedge open or pull on. Good idea, the worst execution, and a major let-down. ... show more

  • Meh, pass unless you NEED NO WIRES!!!!
TLDR: If you REALLY NEED ZERO WIRES, this will do the job, and pretty well. A lot of hoops to jump through to get it to work well enough for music or phone calls, but works none the less. Decent value for money if that's what you REALLY NEED. Can't complain about the audio quality compared to wires. Regular 20 dollar dongles from Fiio or other audio companies do more, for less money, with more features, and more intuitive button layouts. They just need the IEM wire to work. Now for the rant. They do what they say they will on the tin on an iphone and windows. They do the bluetooth. They do the ANC (barely, the IEM does like 95% of the heavy lifting, maybe 5% comes from ANC). Connection wise, they connect fairly robustly, the controls are incredibly un-intuitive. They were delivered with chinese as the main language and I had to dig quite a bit through random websites to find a random blog that described how to change the language for KZ devices and that worked, but should have been in the instructions. The main control scheme, of tapping certain buttons certain numbers of times, for each function is laughably bad. I am not a fan of ridiculous memorization for every Bluetooth device I own. If there were multiple buttons for each purpose with indents or groves to help, in a hands free manner, what each button does, that would go a long way. Latency was horrible when used for both iphone and windows. Like half a second of lag even on "performance mode" where it was actively uncomfortable to watch people speak. I am usually not a stickler for such things, but this was noticeably bad. For the price, can't complain about the mediocre ANC. Completely underwhelmed by the sound. They didn't really add anything or take anything away. As a low tier audiophile who has used not just the moondrop chu's but the chu 2's, I can say they do the job mostly as well as wires but at the cost of comfort. The back piece falls under your ear, and unless your ear is perfectly crafted for their hook design, will likely put pressure on your lower ear lobe that isn't painful, just present and uncomfortable. Forget about it if you're wearing earnings. That's when it becomes pain. There is no obvious ways to select different codecs in windows, mac, or iphone. Not sure about android but I think that takes out a sizeable enough population of people. There is not EQ settings to modify so they are basically just wirecutters. I would rather use a bluetooth dongle connected to a traditional IEM wire after these. Unless you need NO WIRES like in a helmet or something of the sort, I would recommend any of the other bluetooth dongles for 20 bucks that do the same thing. Very light however, just bulky. Call quality was fine. It's a bluetooth audio. It's way more compressed to travel over the bluetooth codec for two way audio transmission and gets compressed heavily. Watch DANKPODS youtube videos on bluetooth if you want more details, but it works. Not sure if the "AI microphones" do anything different, probably just a gimmick or marketing. ... show more

  • Unbelievably good, no hard misses.
90 day review. I use them daily, inside outside, on the lawn mower etc. Absolutely fantastic. Perhaps my favorite part, there is no glitchy app required and they usually connect no problem. They just work. Battery life is good too. Case is a little fumbly to open but who cares. Paired with my zs10 pro and memory foam tips, the sound and pasive noise suppression is top notch. Noise cancellation is mediocre but rarely intrusive with wind noise making it better than most. Ditch ur lame noize canceling setup and get better sound and effective passive noise reducion and never look back. Call audio is good even in lound environments. Comfy too. ... show more

  • Absolute favorite module, but, it's not perfect. Still my favorite
I have two of these and I cannot go without having them paired with KS1bears or at least for now. Definitely a 5 star for me.
