I am really surprised at the quality of this award. It is heavier than expected. I thought it would be very lightweight plastic but it wasn't. The plastic is heavier and the black base is substantial. It also came with a gold liquid ink pen to customize the award. A great and easy award to use.

The quality of the trophy looks like a cheap plastic. The bottom of the trophy is scuffed and roughed out. The trophy is big for its size and lightweight. I bought this to my students as a way to reward their accomplishments. I had to ensure that the top is fixed in before handing it out to the kids. It comes with a pen to write on the bottom of trophy. I had to clean the dusty plastic bottom before writing and giving it away. It is ok for kids but not in a professional setting. It looks good from a distance and so will show well on a cupboard.

This trophy makes a big first impression. It's big and beefy and shiny gold. Make sure the top is screwed all the way in before awarding it. The base was a little dusty and needed a wipe down before I could write on it. The golden pen worked well and shows up nicely on the black plastic base. I gave it four stars because for all it's presence, handwriting on the base cheapens the look. It's hard to do and keep the words straight. It would be easier to have a high quality card to write on and then slide into a clear holder like the labels on file boxes. Otherwise, this makes a nice presentation for a job well done. Mine is going to a student who has made great strides in reading.

Cool trophy to be handed out to the winner of my golf trip in a few weeks. The trophy is very shiny and has a weight in the base to help stabilize it. Comes with a gold sharpie to write whatever you look on the base. I took the ribbon off but otherwise is going to look great on someone's shelf!

This is a relatively lightweight and inexpensive trophy that will work just fine for my family uses. The gold pen is a nice touch to write on the black base of the trophy. The lid and black base are plastic. The cup, handles, and brass base are metal. I had to realign the parts slightly and wash the trophy when it arrived (it was dirty). There are 2 bows with ribbons hanging down. One bow faces one direction and the other faces the opposite direction. Theoretically, both should face front. I personally would not use this for anything extra special or professional.

I got this trophy for my daughter to use as a prop in a figure skating showcase piece. The trophy came coated in grime and needed to be cleaned off. It is poorly constructed and wobbly. From a distance it looks nice and since it's being used in a performance piece, all I'm worried about is it appearing to look nice. I would not buy this particular trophy if I were intending to use this an award for someone. If you need a prop for a play or some kind of performance this will do just fine.

I selected this trophy to present to a friend for a special accomplishment. It is tall enough to make a statement. Though it is all plastic, it has a nice appearance. All of the segments of the trophy are joined with a long piece of all-thread that passes through the base and is tightened with a nut. This is typical for trophies whether plastic like this one or brass and marble like an expensive one. The trophy comes with a gold paint pen to write the award on the black base. I know my buddy will get a lot of joy and laughs from this. I recommend it.
