The media could not be loaded. I took photos of the before and after of using the caulk tape but unfortunately I was unable to upload them to this site. Just let me say the caulk tape turned out great. As with any caulk repair/replacement, the majority of the work is in the preparation. I removed all the old caulk then cleaned the area with a cleaner made of vinegar, Dawn dish soap and water. I then let that dry and cleaned the area again with rubbing alcohol and it was ready for the tape. I folded the tape in half (on the seam) in the manner that it would be installed. I would do this a couple of times as it makes it easier to install. I was replacing the caulk at the base of my bathtub where it meets the floor. I peeled back the protective covering about 4" and then pressed the tape onto the floor and tub making sure I got the crease in the tape exactly in the corner. I used a plastic putty knife to help me do this. The tape is somewhat forgiving...you can reposition it if you didn't hit your mark. I held the tape by its edges as I positioned it into the cover seam. I continued down the run by removing about 4" of the protective covering at a time. It was fairly easy and didn't take long. Now that I am familiar with it, I will replace the caulk around the top edge of the tub. I was very pleased with the results as it leaves a very straight, clean and defined line and looks very professional. I’m in the middle of redoing my bathroom and I replaced my toilet and there was a huge gap between the floor and the toilet based on its shape and my floor. You could sometimes smell something similar to a humid basement smell from that gap and so I wanted to close the gap asap. The gap was too big to use caulk so I took a chance on this product. This product works AND it does indeed work around corners. My new toilet has a sharp corner right in the front. I figured out it would be easier to start wrapping the trim from the front of the toilet first. I rolled out the trim around the toilet so I had enough trim for both the right and left sides. Then I cut the backing strip with scissors right where the front of the toilet would need the trim. I applied the trim from the front first and move to my left side of the toilet first. I used the indented middle line as my guide to wear the trim should hit the gap. That indented line is actually what you need to get this to line up correctly so use it! The other best tip I can give is to use one of your fingers to press down on that indented line while you are wrapping the trim. Your finger should be pressing that line to the gap consistently as you move around the toilet. If you lose your line, peel the trim back off to where it was last lined up correctly and keep using your finger to get that line right. Once I wrapped one side, I worked again starting from the front to lay down the other side. I was able to wrap my toilet is less than 5 minutes easily. Now no more smells and it looks neat. I'm very happy with this product. Its super easy to use, has a nice clean finished look, and seems to adhere well. The key is properly prepping the surface you intend to apply the tape on. It MUST be clean and dry and free of any loose material for it to adhere correctly. As long as you follow these steps, most people should be pleased with this product. ... show more

I'm not real good at applying silicone, never seems to look good. Noticed this Self Adhesive Caulking Tape and thought I would give it a try. Turns out it is very easy to apply, sticks well and looks great. I would recommend folding the tape at the seam in the middle first if you are using at a 90 degree angle, . applies much easier. ... show more

Used this along the bath and floor as there was an uneven connection. It was wider than I needed but it fixed the problem and look clean. would have preferred it to be narrower than it is. But it is ok

So happy to not have to deal with caulk. I had a small patch of my shower that needed to be re-caulked and put it off because caulking tubes are so messy, and it feels wasteful to open an entire tube for one tiny area. This tape is genius! There's an adhesive wipe included to prep. Then, I just cut off the amount I needed, peeled the backing and stuck it in place. I pressed down for a bit to ensure that it stuck properly. The middle crease makes it super easy for straight areas. I haven't tried a curved part yet, but the directions are clear that heating the tape gives it more pliability. ... show more

My husband caulked the tub a while ago but it eventually got dirty again. It was such an eyesore to look at. We decided to try this caulk tape to see how it would work. It was very easy to put on and was the perfect length to go around our tub. At first, the white seemed a little bright compared to the rest of the tub but in looking at the before and after pictures it looks amazing. It is a quick fix to cover up any yuckiness.
