I had no problem assembling it or with the quality, my twin kittens were 5 months (5lbs) when I got it and are still able to use it for sleeping and claw sharpening. After a couple months of being in bathroom lockdown for rescue medication nothing frayed or broken, of course the columns show some cat scratching which is what meant for. It is small, but is perfect size for my needs in small half bath. I also wanted it as steps to help them get up and down from sink area so don't break or strain something and it is good height for that, so it's against the sink cabinet but has never toppled when they use is as a spring board to jump up to sink. Can't tell you if stable with no wall, but seems as stable as any I've seen in past.

My baby needed a new tree. This one is ok, easy to assemble but not very stable or sturdy. My cat weighs 10 lbs and it wobbles when he jumps on the top tier. He's a medium sized cat but fits very snug in both of the cubbies. Not bad for the price

Bought this with our kitten in mind, but all three of our cats use it daily. We knew it would be small when we bought it, but I really wanted something with a hammock for our (then) 3 month old kitten. I figured his siblings (17 1/2 year old, 6 lb sister and 10 year old, 12 lb brother) wouldn't be too bothered about it because they have a million other beds. It was easy to assemble, and even before it was fully set up the kitten was already playing with it! Pros: -Dimensions are great for saving space. It is a bit small, but that was ideal for us and the intended user, our 4 lb kitten. -All cats love it (even if maybe they're a bit big for it :P). Pretty much immediately we discovered all 3 of our cats loved the tree. The 12 lb cat is a bit too big for it, but he still loves to squeeze himself into the hammock or jump onto the top shelf (making the tree lean slightly, but not dangerously and I think it would take some effort to actually knock it over). Even our 17 year old will deign to get out of her heated bed occasionally and sit on the top shelf. -Feather toy is actually pretty durable. No feather lasts around our kitten, he's a feather killing machine. He literally tore the feathers out of another toy in about an hour, and has broken or torn out feathers in any others. This feather, however, is still there and looking almost as good as day one, despite being played with daily by our little monster. -Scratching post material seems pretty durable. Our 10 year old boy LOVES sharpening his claws on scratching posts, and sits there stretching his back all the time. He tends to go through sisal wrap pretty quickly and we have to rewrap our sisal trees pretty often. It's only been about a month, but so far I don't see much wear on these posts and I know he uses them, as does the kitten (the 17 year old doesn't use vertical posts). I've never had a cat tree with this material as the post cover, so watching it to see how it wears and so far I'm pleased. Cons: -It is small and light. Again, we knew this buying it and it's not a bad thing as long as you don't have a big cat. Our 12 lb cat is on the upper end of what I'd consider safe, unless the tree is somehow secured to the floor. Definitely pleased with the tree, especially for the price. It's nice for a small space, and gives cats something to play with and new spots to sit. Learned our cats love the hammock style, so we'll look for that in the next big tree we buy as well.

I like the quality of the materials, the colors and the look. My smaller cat (~10 lbs) loves the hammock. However, this particular Catry model is not stable. Sure, I put it against a wall but that leaves three other directions for it to fall down. And fall down it does. Additionally, this model is designed for a very small cat. My guestimate is this *may* work for a 5-7 lb. cat. But cats are quite the gymnasts. Even for a small cat, running and jumping may not fare well. I suspect that even a smaller, active cat would successfully topple this tree.

The media could not be loaded. Almost a year later, and my cat still loves his tree! He loves jumping on the top area, and he loves sleeping in the hammock. He uses it pretty much every day. It was easy to assemble, and was up in a few minutes. The little feather toy is now gone, he loved it so much he ripped it off in the first few weeks. But the rest of the cat tree is still sturdy and looking pretty good. Actually it’s a little bit torn up right now, but my cat will tear things apart, so it’s done quite well considering that. I did put a 15 pound dumbbell weight on the bottom, because he likes to aggressively jump to the top part of the tree. If your cat isn’t as aggressive, you may not need the counter weight. But my cat has a lot of energy, so he needs that balance because he plays pretty rough. Overall, great tree! I highly recommend it!

Good, but smaller than I expected. More suitable for smaller cats or kittens. I have one cat that is 15lbs. He will not fit in this thing. I should have read the dimensions more carefully. I can't ding the rating for my issue. The quality is fine for the costs.

Window perch, as apposed to furniture. I like it it is the same height as my window. The little feathers that came on. It broke off in the first pawing. Kitty really liked them so that was going to happen. Anyway, my cat is 5 pounds and I don’t think she will hit this much longer but who knows.
