I only rate this how I did because, I absolutely adore Catkin. Their packaging is outstanding (pure art). Not many American products are as thoughtfully designed, this carries through to their actual products. Their lip are smooth and hydrating, they also layer beautifully with matte and tint products. The color is lasting and beautiful. I absolutely love all of their products. My issue is the shipping! I ordered this product December 15th it just arrived today January 2. Horrendous. If I ordered from YesStyle it would have been here by the 20th. Or even directly from Catkin, it would have been here sooner. Catkin 5 stars. Amazon shipping 0 stars.

This is a very cute lipstick, the case is absolutely gorgeous, I love the magnetic feature as well that keeps it secure, the lipstick is very light and moisturizing a very delicate pigment as well so great to wear anytime! It has made a difference to my dry lips over night! It doesn't feel too thick or sticky on the lips and No smell either which i think is nice.

I loved the packaging and the look of this product, I did not love the color though it’s very pink. It will moisturize your lips for a bit and then fade. But I would definitely buy another color.

I purchased the shade "Amythyst". I've seen this clear color changing lip balms for a while, namely the "winx" brand at target and ulta. I think I tried one on at ulta and did fancy it. I wanted to buy one for a friend of mine as a Christmas present because she's been wanting one. I did some browsing and ended up going with this brand (catkin). It had the highest rating per review, and the packaging was very pleasing, we both love Asian dramas, so this Chinese brand seemed fitting. I was skeptical about if it would work, the colors looked light on the picture. Naturally, I was going to try it out first and then repurchase for my friend if it met my expectations. And oh my god it so did. First of all, my skin is of a medium complexion with olive undertones, and this showed up beautifully! The color I chose is a light pinkier color on the picture, but on my lips it's a little darker, literally just by a shade, and maybe more red. I made my sister try it out, her skin is darker than mine, by a shade or 2, she has more of a brown complexion with neutral undertones, and on her, it deposited pink, very much like the picture. I don't know the mechanism behind ph changing technology in makeup, but these are my results. Both of us loved it. Second, I don't wear makeup often, and I've gotten out of the habit of wearing any lip color. I used to wear a lot of dark colors, liquid lipsticks, and regular lipsticks, but it's such a hassle to maintain it throughout the day. So, this is such a suitable, happy medium for me. I get to wear some color on my lips without looking overkill. If it smears, the color doesn't slide all over the place. It's just so pretty and natural-looking, which I'm now obsessed with. Now, in terms of the color payoff and how long it lasts, it's almost like a stain, I notice that even if the shine of the balm goes away, there's still a light color left over. I don't find it to be dramatically buildable, you can definitely reapply, but it looks like the same shade just refreshed. Third, I'm very sensitive to the feeling of stuff on my skin. I don't like lotion, or the feel of oil on my skin, I hate gloss and most chapsticks because they tend to slide all over the place. BUT THIS BAAABBBYYYY, oooo boi ! I am so thrilled to have discovered this brand and product, I actually went on their website to buy an entire set of these. If you have severe dry lips, I don't that this really cater or advertises to those problems, but as far as an every day hydrating lip balm this goes above and beyond. It delivers a very light but nourishing feel with it being to slimy or sticky or dry. Its the goldilocks of balms in my opinion. When I have this on, I don't feel tempted to take it off like I do with others because it's just that comfortable. You don't feel it on your lips but it's there. If you've been looking to buy a clear color changing lip product, I highly suggest going with this brand. It's beautiful both in deposit and packaging; it has a magnetic closure which just feels very luxe, secure and durable. The artwork is just gorgeous, it's effective at delivering a nourishing and comfortable layer on the lips along with sporting a beautiful natural color :)

It applies beautifully, it feels light and hydrating and the color is perfect for me, it’s definitely noticeable but not overly saturated. The cover is slightly magnetic so when I put the cover back on it has a satisfying close so I know the product won’t be drying out, and the case is lovely

I thought I had ordered the Unicorn shade and instead got the Amethyst. It is color changing and the color is cute just not the one I wanted. When I first saw the picture of the unicorn one it looked more pigmented? And darker? With glitter on it. And this one is well see through. The packaging is gorgeous though and it does slide sooo smoothly when I did the test on my wrist. I’ll probably order again but hopefully this time I get the color I order. Maybe.
