I have pantry moths that are visibly seen (1-5) in the kitchen. This has been going on for MONTHS. Mainly because I did not know what a pantry moth was until I started researching. Saw the great reviews and impulse buy initiated! Prime shipping delivered as expected, and set up two traps on a Friday. Immediately on opening setting up the first trap, I saw a few of the moths buzzing and hovering around the center of the kitchen which they normally do not do. The pheromones chip really works! Be careful when setting up the chip, the sticky material is VERY sticky. After setting up the second trap, two moths have already been trapped. By Sunday night, each trap has about 3-5 moths. I do still see some moths chilling in the cupboards, I am assuming they are the female ones. I bought a 6 pack, and plan to set up these traps every 3 months. Hopefully that will get rid of the pantry moth problem. UPDATE #1: It has been a few weeks now and I'm surprised at how many moths it has caught! I have one set up on the hood (which caught the most so far) and one across the kitchen wedged between a clock and cupboard against a wall. This second one caught less than 10. My assumption is they aren't active in this area of the kitchen or the placement of the trap is hard for them to fly into. The one on top of the range hood though, this is a different story. There must be 15-20 moths suck in the trap. Today I just witnessed one moth dancing around the outside of the trap where the pheromone chip is located. UPDATE #2: (8-10 MONTHS LATER) I have used 2 sets of the traps so far, and I only seen about 1 pantry moth a month (usually already dead just stuck on the wall. I figure it is time to change out the 2nd set of traps with my last set. I come to realize the last set of traps is missing the bait! Either way the pests are pretty much eliminated unless they're hiding somewhere until better conditions arrive. This is my second time using Catchmaster's Pantry Moth Traps. I had an issue several years ago with those little buggers and did some research that led me to Amazon to buy them. They worked very well and eliminated the moths completely for me, so naturally, I came back for the same when the issue arose again. This time, pantry moths came home in a bag of chicken feed. I did not realize what an issue I had on my hands until a whole bunch flew out and I saw the telltale webs that the leave behind all in the bottom of the bag. Of course, in the 2 days it took to receive my new traps in the mail, I noted that they had made their way in to the house from the back porch. As we bake a lot from scratch, I have a BUNCH of flours on hand that would be at risk from these little devils! Thankfully, this is a 6 pack and are plenty to place in all the places where I have at-risk food. I have 2 on the back porch, 2 with my flours, one with my cereals and one in the spice cabinet... yes, they will get into your spice bottle, too. They are very sticky, so the moths get stuck quickly and die. They come with a small bait that you place in the traps that attract the male moths who are looking to mate and catch them... sorry fellas! Killing off all the males eliminates the moths by breaking the life cycle. You do also need to clean out any webs in your cabinets that you find and throw out any food stuffs they have found, but I've found this to be a very effective tool in stopping them dead in their tracks. I want you to look at the picture I have shared here. It had been on my back porch less than 10 minutes! I brought it back in to show my husband how many we had already caught. Obviously we had quite the pantry moth parade on ours hands! I am so glad that these are a safe and effective way to eliminate these pesky little moths. ... show more

I had ordered multiple times of 6 packs of these traps but I received 6 glued traps and just 2 pieces of red pheromones instead of 6 on each individual pack. I have being using these traps long time and works perfectly. I am disappointed with the seller because it’s missing the red pheromones on every other. ... show more

I bought these several times and was quite happy with previous results on my earlier purchases, however the last 2 orders were missing actual pheromone red lures . The last purchase only had 2 red lures instead of instead of 6 (it is a 6 pack of traps) and this package that just arrived yesterday had ZERO red lures. I realized there are some traps that have the pheromones built into the glue trap , these are not those types of traps , per description and per instructions on the package, and it is actually why I ordered them again, as I felt they were more efficient because they have the actual red lures you open and add when you want to use them. The price has gone up since I first purchased and now there are no lures at all in my package? I got ripped off of 4 traps last time but kept the product because I needed the trap as I once again saw those dreaded pantry moths in the house, but this time I must return as they are totally worthless without the lures/pheromones bait unless by some chance a moth accidentally flies into. LOL It is so disappointing as I thought this was the best product for catching panty moths, but how can I buy again? ... show more

    • PUT IT, AND THEY'LL COME!

Wow! Creepy to know there can be that many moths in the pantry. At first I was a little disappointed and thought the catcher really didn't do that much. But I figured, they were relatively inexpensive and "what other alternative, short of dangerous chemicals, is there?" I decided to leave a catcher, to at least catch a few here and there: "better than nothing." And when I got around to it, I would throw out my remaining flours -- the initial and heavier infestation came from legumes and flours purchased at an Indian grocers. After throwing all of the affected items out, and putting all new legumes, grains, and various flours in the refrigerator, I would see an occasional moth flying around. I knew the lures had active pheromones, because when I opened the package and set out the catcher, 3 moths suddenly appeared. But after placing the catcher in an area close to the old stockpile of flour and meal, I only caught one. Following the directions, I moved the catcher to another spot, and after a couple of days, caugth 2. I moved it to yet another location and over several days caught a few more. I found that if I rotated the catcher 180 degrees (leaving it in the same spot), mattered, and I would not catch any until I turned it back the other direction. (N.B. I have tne catcher flat, ratner than folded into the triangle as it is designed.). Yesterday, I finally got around to cleaning out the remaing flour, leaving only a few bags of rava and rice flour that had been in heavier plastic and/or multiple plastic bags.......I assume the moths were hiding beneath those bunched up bags kept in baskets, because there is a new grouping of moths each time I go into the pantry! I may have to cut out the lure and put it on a piece of fly paper soon, since I'm starting to run out of room on the landing area near the lure. Starting to feel (and look) like a Twighlight Zone episode ;) ... show more
