This is a good product. It shipped and arrived quickly. All of the pieces (and there are ALOT) were very well packaged. There were no scratches, chips or any other damage. There was a fair amount of wood dust in the box, keep that in mind when unpacking. It took me a little over three hours to put it together, not so much that it was difficult as it was tedious. As I said before, there are a lot of pieces. The instructions are a little confusing, especially the part when it said to glue your mother in law to the inside of the wheel, and the print is very light in some places. I highly recommend watching a youtube video before putting it together. My cat hasn't used it yet but it has only been one day so far. It is very large. Pros - well packed plenty of hardware, even extra pieces just in case the screwdriver is magnetic all of the holes line up and fit together perfectly good reinforcement for joining parts attractive when assembled Cons - the instructions are confusing, between the translation to english and the poor print quality of the instructions it is easy to put things together wrong the carpet and velcro for the inside of the treadmill doesn't quite go all the way around (see pic) your cat needs to be either heavy or very into it to get it to move (not necessarily a con) Overall, the cons are pretty minor. I've recently adopted a 4 month old kitten, and while we have a dog as well, he doesn't have much play time while we're away at work and sleeping - so I figured a wheel like this one would be a great way to get out that destructive energy when he's alone; while I was originally skeptical that he'd use it at all after it was all together - and figuring out assembly was an adventure on its own - he's regularly running a few spins every few hours... Though only after a bit of training! The box wasn't unmanageable for me, but is a little heavier if that's an issue. I put it together alone and without power tools using the included screwdriver, taking about 1.5 hours; I definitely recommend against doing this, not only to cut the assembly time in half, but to avoid blisters. The instructions are as terrible as others have pointed out: I accidentally ripped them removing from the box due to how tissue thin the paper is, and that was just the beginning of my issues. Parts are included that aren't listed, as well as hardware, and there are poorly translated instructions (your mother in law will not be happy). I was able to get it all together in the end though, and after adjusting some screws sticking out further than they should keeping it from rolling, it worked! The carpet seems to be just a bit shorter than needed, but I was able to get it to vecro all the way around through some peeling and pulling around the outside. The noise is pretty loud, with a low rumbling noise coming from the cheaper bearings holding the weight of the wheel. You may be able to replace or even grease these to reduce the noise, but it doesn't bother our cat once he got used to it. Getting used to it was the next obstacle of course, and was about 24 hours of letting him run across and sit inside without movement, playing with various toys, using treats, and finally a laser pointer to get him going full speed for a few seconds. After repeating the last step over a few days, he now seems to think that running on it will get the laser to appear - but also uses it to stretch out and run a few steps throughout the day. The amount of use will depend on your cat if course, but I'd imagine any higher energy or.prey driven cat will be happy to get a few bursts out with little coaxing - and larger cats may have luck with something like liquid treats dropped just out of reach. The size, while compact compared to a human treadmill, isn't exactly optimal for a.aller spaces, but is easy enough to move around and will lock for safety when needed. Larger cats shouldn't have a problem running with the diameter, and this may be what a cat needs to get into better shape if you have the time and patience to not only train them, but to put it together in the first place! ... show more

Our almost 3 yr cat, Arya, has PHENOMENAL FELINE POWERS but we live in a little bitty living space. So when we saw this, we saw an indoor solution for Arya to get her wiggles out without shredding the furniture. We used catnip to get her on her gym-wheel, and now she’s wheely busy :).

I liked the idea and quality of this cat exercise wheel. It turns out it was too loud for my cats. They would start running, and the noise would scare them off. I decided to modify the casters with a better quality caster (the new ones are orange in the picture). This quieted it somewhat but was still too noisy, and I have lazy cats. They fight over who gets to lay in it, and they use it as a lounge or scratchpad. It requires assembly. I am handy, and I enjoyed the project. It took me about an hour and a half, but I used a power drill instead of the manual screwdriver and tools that were included. It is an excellent design and looks good in the cat room. It's like getting great toys for your kids that they use often but not for the intended purpose. Given the quality, it's still worth the money. The inside carpet affixes easily but is an inch too short. The overall dimensions of the wheel and stand are 42"h X 39"l X 12"w. This would be a home run if the casters could be changed and the operation a bit smoother and quieter. I look at it like an interactive piece of art, just not an exercise wheel or treadmill. I have other ideas to make it quiet, and I will update you if I am successful. ... show more
