So this is ridiculously adorable! Hilarious! And just all around a great time. It’s great as a couples co op to sit down and chill playing this game with a few laughs at the end of the day. The only downside is that it’s hard to stop playing. We are so not ready to finish this one, it’s too fun.

This is a fun game. I bought it for my 5 year old and it was a little too advanced for him. There some reading and following directions/quest he had trouble with. The game play is fun and he could fight and sail. It’s a beautiful game, very unique and well done. Great game for anyone who can read

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this with my partner, and would recommend this to any gaming couple. I feel like the game would be a bit challenging playing to play alone, though - this coming from a fairly experienced, but mostly casual gamer. Plenty of times we accidentally took on something higher level than us, but was either able to escape or overcome it but one of us went down and was picked up/saved by the other. I bought this thinking I was buying a dumb little kids came to couch co-op with my daughter, but it turned out to be a game that *I* have put in a good bit of time and effort into solo. This game is surprisingly hard and well balanced. The graphics are cool, the gameplay tight, and there are plenty of quests and things to do. Again, SURPRISINGLY hard. Don't think this little game about cat pirates is gonna be a walk in the park. My gripes are that 1) the dialogue is too much. Almost EVERYTHING is a cat pun, which is funny at first, but just grates on you over time. Every interaction with an NPC is like 6-7-8 word bubbles of goofy cat puns. EX: "aye, what be ye looking FUR?" "We be looking for PAWSOME treasure. That would be aMEOWzing." etc. Together, it's just a slog of verbiage everytime you want to/have to talk to someone. I skip it ALL. I'm probably missing hints or details, but it's just too much. 2) Co-op mode is kinda trash. There is almost zero character customization. You can either BOTH be: Male cat or female cat. The end. Those are the only choices. You can't even have one be male and one female, it's whatever the first player picks. You can't share equipment. If you only have 1 hat, someone just goes without. We can't both equip the same swag. We CAN both steer the ship though at the same time, which is ENDLESSLY frustrating. Trying to drive, while my 6 year old keeps pulling us into danger is just annoying. ALSO, the screen doesn't split if you two get separated, so if one player goes too far, the other just falls off the screen, but is still susceptible to attacks, etc. Co-op mode is not worth it, which is the entire reason I bought the game in the first place. 3) Also, not sure if I mentioned this or not (sarcasm) but the game is HARD. If you venture too far too early on, you will be STEAMROLLED. Before I figured out what was going on, I attacked this large duck that is just perpetually sailing through the map, and the sky turned black and meteors starting raining down from the sky, and the duck laser blasted me to oblivion in SECONDS. Even just the regular "goomba" level enemies on different islands will smoke you almost instantly if you haven't leveled up substantially first. This difficulty might be fine for us older players, but my 6 year old doesn't know the difference and just rushes headfirst into certain doom. Super fun game, highly recommended, just know what it is and what it isn't before rushing in. ... show more

For a Diablo type game involving cats, this game is rather fun and enjoyable. I wouldn’t get this for younger children, it might be a little too much for them. But young teens and such should enjoy. I enjoy and I’m a grown man, me and the daughter love it. Made me but cat quest 2. Also has a lot of funny little cat/dog puns, get a ship in this one to. Worth it ... show more
