It's been great, replaced my old one that I'd have to get up and push 17 times a day because my cat is a laser fiend and would meow until I would do so. Now I just set this up, and it takes care of that. It gives her an hour break in between sessions but she seems to be less meowy about it. She'll run the battery out in about 30-40 hours. It does work while charging though. Bigger battery or option to use AA's would be preferred like my old one that would last 3 months with fresh batteries. The main part is the "head". The base is hollow and light weight, more so used to set the angle of the laser. All considered I'd still recommend.

This keeps my 10-month-old cat busy, which is ultimately what matters. It works. The light follows one simple pattern over and over, basically moving back and forth along a circle. That is enough to keep this kitten enthralled. It is not silent. It makes about as much sound as a noisy refrigerator. The playing cat makes more noise than the motor anyway, so this is negligible. I have not been able to determine if this device really has a motion sensor or a timer. Let's just say, if it does have a motion sensor... it is absolutely useless. When set to automatic, the machine will start up even with no pets or people in front of it. It would be better if there was an indicator that lets you know if it is set to automatic. This morning I thought I had only triggered one round of laser chasing, only to be surprised when it started back up at an inconvenient time an hour later. I would love to find a company that makes a premium version of this, but unfortunately the market appears flooded with similar cheap designs.

Two out of three cats like it but the third cat is a loner so I guess this product is a hit. They will play for about 15 minutes and move on to something else. I can turn it on and leave it unattended without being involved. They won’t go near the unit. The distance is a problem for the laser. It stays close to the unit even when I have it elevated on a side table. The cats want to chase it around the room and that is doable only if I hold the device in my hand.

Great idea for kittens and younger cats. Older cats will give it about 5 or 10 minutes and that's it. At least mine did. They realized they couldn't catch it and gave up!

My 3 cats absolutely love chasing the laser around. Battery lasts usually for almost 2 days but I usually have it hooked up to an outlet. I will have to Ding it a little for it's durability since the laser itself lost its function to shine, but the motor was still good. However just send a message to valonii and they'll send you your replacement so long as you're within your warranty period. Overall I highly recommend this for any cat owners
