My cats cannot live without these cat trees! Assembly is easy, though if you are short like me you'll need a chair or step ladder to get it up. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the material comes off very easily/quickly. My cats had a section pulled off within 48 hours of putting the new ones up. To extend the life of the tree we reward it with sisal rope once the carpet like fabric is scratched off. Still highly recommend for cat parents! ... show more

I tried to put on a piece of replacement rug I just found on Amazon, over the hole he ripped, but now he will not use the tree. I now need to get the rug off. Great for the price and for a small apartment, or even just as a climbing/jump off to other catwalks. It fit exactly where I needed it, and the tension on the rod is strong, with a good sized plate to dissipate the pressure on the ceiling. I have a couple plus sized cats, and it wiggles a bit if they play fight, but does not budge. Would have liked sisal or rope on the vertical tubes, but for the price, I can add that later after they shred the low pile carpet. I added the disco ball for fun!! 3 out of 4 cats recommend...but #4 is a grumpy old man. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Extremely unsafe, wobbly, poor construction, horrendous quality, I removed the "carpet" pieces after only two months. I have one cat (12 lbs) and she destroyed this cat tree. *****This is a cat tree which I DO NOT recommend to anyone.***** It's too high for any kitten to use - if they jump down they could break a bone, or worse. It should absolutely NEVER be used for a full-size cat because any cat weighing more than a 3 - 5 pounds will make it wobble precariously and become unstable to the point of it pulling away from the so-called "anchoring" at the ceiling and falling down in pieces - causing possible injury to a cat, and destruction of any nearby property. Yes, it happened with mine!! FYI - I put the tree back up temporarily so I could take pictures/video and so you could see what it looks like before it goes to the dump with a bunch of other garbage. My cat had this tree for less than a month and I had to completely remove the bottom tier's "carpet" because it was barely attached to the tube anymore and could no longer be used to scratch. She had it another month and she'd done the same thing to the second tier and I had to remove it. As you can see, the third and fourth tiers are looking the worse for wear after only two months of her using this cat tree. Her replacement cat tree is much better, it is not the three-tier floor-to-ceiling model this one happens to be; I bought a better constructed/quality cat tree that's tall enough to help her get her exercise AND sturdy enough to keep her safe. DO NOT buy this scratching post tower, you will spend a lot of money but receive nothing in return, except for being ripped off and a huge headache. I CANNOT BELIEVE WITH ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS TREE CONSTRUCTION ITSELF, AND ESPECIALLY WITH IT'S POOR RATING ON THE BBB WEBSITE, THAT AMAZON STILL HAS IT LISTED! First things first, my 18 month old cat, never having seen anything like this immediately took to it, she is already 11lbs and leaps on and off of it all day with no problems. One thing I noticed after a few months was that the bolt in the bottom was getting a little loose from flexing and twisting, so I took it down, removed the bottom bolt and applied a little locktite (nail polish is fine too) to the threads and re-assembled.
